What a surprise to stop at the library this weekend and meet some beautiful and very unusual creatures!
Llamas were grazing behind the library, waiting to be petted.
What a fun and unexpected treat!
It’s not something you see every day!
Thanks to the nice people from Stone Leaf Llamas for making my day special and for the little packet of fiber!
You just never know what you’ll see when you get out and about!
I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and
Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.
Have a wonderful weekend!

They are such pretty animals Diane. I have seen a few in pastures as they protect livestock from coyotes around here. I bet all the children who went to the library had a great surprise.
That must have been quite a surprise! Fun! And, boy, I can't wait to wear shorts again.
I always want to give them a huge cuddle but worry about the spitting :-) Aren't they gorgeous!! xx
Oh what fun. I have a friend who used to raise llamas - they are so sweet most of the time. If we went out and about today we would certainly be wet and drippy - but it is very green this time of year here in the Pacific Northwest, so we don't mind the rain - makes it so pretty here.
What fun! You guys are always running into something fun and different!

Those llamas are so cute and sweet! Such fun pictures!! :) Happy Sunday!

What a wonderful treat, Diane! I would be so pleasantly surprised to be able to share a little time with those lovely creatures. Your collage says it all!
Thank you for strolling over to my blog. It's always nice to 'see' you.
Hugs and love,

Such a nice surprise to find Llamas behind the library. There is a farm in England, near where my sister lives that breed them.. and you can go on rides too.
Happy sunday Diane.

Llamas at the Library! Who knew?? Sounds like a good book title to me!
It's not every day you go to the library and see a llama! What fun. I love their long necks and shaggy fur.
What fun! Beautiful animals too! YOu could have used that one for your "fences" blog too.
Yes--what a delightful surprise--
we have a local small bus that runs here in town and to the next 2 small towns--one of the bus drivers owns and shows Llama's--but I haven't been able to see his yet--
someday!!

Diane, The llamas are pretty and you are brave. I am afraid to pet them, because they may spit...I don't think I could handle that.LOL. But it's nice of the farm to bring them to town for so many to see. Hope you are having lots of fun today. Bless your heart, my friend, you have had kind words for me when I needed them, thank you so much. xoxo,Susie
how awesome was that! love it
Llamas tend to be a bit mean sometimes glad he didn't spit at you. I do love the rag dolls you found in an earlier post, the are just precious!
They are amazing creatures, aren't they? What a pleasant surprise. We had some good friends who were missionaries in Peru and they were always talking about the llamas.

Oh how cool, and fun! I have never seen a llama in person, lol. Looks like you all had a fun time :)
Too coo!
How fun!! We have a street fair that is in June and then again in October...and there are llama's every year for the kids to pet. Well...for the big kids to pet too. Also have their llama yarn that you can purchase.
hugs,
Cindy
You sure have some fun adventures when you're out and about. I think he likes you Diane:-)
Very cool! And he didn't spit in your eye? There are a few at a local farm with signs warning of such things. Your llama is very friendly.
How did you like the llama's? I met one once, his name was Mr. Bill. He was a guard llama for a heard of sheep. He was big and white. He was also very sweet to me. :-)
Hello Diane
What a delightful surprise indeed to find these charming scholars lurking behind the library Did you read them a story? You are so right when you say "one is always surprised when we venture out"
Helen xx
Llamas look so soft and cuddly! You never know what life brings when you go out! BTW, Let me know when you get out Spring Hill way to check out the Botanical Garden.
So much fun..love it xx

Hope your MoNDaY is fabulous.
That is a nice surprise to see llamas at your library. I'm wondering what you are supposed to do with the bag of fibre?
Thanks for linking to MM Diane.
These llamas have very fancy haircuts! They look all spiffed up for their library visit.
Oh you always have such fun adventures....
Wow how amazing to see them on your trip to the library! I love the photo of you petting it. Hope you took out some nice books to read. Have a wonderful week.

How fun! I LOVE Llamas!!! And your photos and collage are wonderful!Ruth
Llamas are so beautiful! I saw some the other day. There's a farm nearby that has them that's about 30 minutes away. I've never gotten up close and personal with them though. How cool is that?!
They are just precious. We have some farms with them near where we stay in Oregon and I've always meant to visit them. Pi love the way libraries offer special opportunities like this ... For kids of all ages ;)))!
And yes, summer came early to our part of Florida too. But I love it!
Llamas are fun. We do see them here, frequently. There is a huge sheep feedlot west of us with thousands of sheep in pens. Along with the sheep in each pen live at least one llama. Why? one might ask. They drive away preditors. They are very protective of the sheep. Interesting.
aahh, sweet llamas. They have always fascinated me. What a nice surprise to be able to get that close to one, Diane.
~Sheri
What a fun and unexpected sight to see outside your library, Diane! Lamas have such cute faces.
How cool! I bet they were so loveable! Maggie
What a fun post, Diane! Beautiful, cheerful photos!
I have never seen one, but have read that if correctly reared llamas can be friendly and curious and rarely spit at a human. :)
Thank you for sharing! Have a lovely week!
Ooh! What a great surprise! He's really cute and you are too! xo
