Slow Sewing “Wednesday Wee Ones”

One day while I was still sick, I got up determined to do something besides ‘rest’! So I started a little sewing project and worked on it some every day.

zetaIMG_2652

I used a Pattern that Nana Diana gave me awhile back. Thanks sweet friend!

And used fabric and lace from my ‘stash’.

I think it turned out cute.

Zeta is very embarrassed to show off her pantaloons but aren’t they sweet?

Now that I feel better, I have to clean my house and do ‘real work’ but I still want to be creative…just a little while every day!

Have you done something ‘just for fun’?

Remember to take time to PLAY!

That did turn out cute! That fabric looks very similar to a summer robe (store bought) that I have. Like your lace trim!

Oh-that turned out so cute, Diane. I think once you have the basic patterns that give you "size" you can make all kinds of variations. Love that cute print you used here. So glad you are feeling better, too...and...thanks for the link to me!!! xo Diana

Oh Miss Zeta is so cute in her pantaloons and nightie. I haven't sewn for over a week now - but hope to get back to it soon. I still have those two summer outfits waiting to be sewn, with lots of rick rack.

I'm so glad you are feeling better - that is my plan too - soon.

Love the little outfit with the cute pantaloons! I had a piano just like that, which I gave to our daughter. I loved it, for we also had a synthesizer and I could make it sound like all kinds of musical instruments, pipe organ, harpsichord, etc. We still have two other pianos. LOL Kinda crazy, I realize, but...

Hello,
Happy to hear you are feeling better. I took a friend to lunch yesterday for her Birthday. We had a great time. :-)
Today, I will bake. And that is like playing for me.

I like to make dishcloths from cotton yarn in lovely colors and give them away as hostess gifts, etc., and my daughters are always looking for a new one. The doll is adorable!

I'm glad you are feeling better but housekeeping doesn't sound like much fun. Glad you were able to enjoy some stitching while you were recovering. I've got all sorts of Easter projects spread out on my craft room table. I'd much rather play than be at work, but it's nearly the weekend!

She is so cute in her dress and bloomers. I like her shoes as well.
You posted right before me on Bright Eyes.
No time for fun here. Today was a day and a half. Hoping to get some sleep tonight. We had our first showing. Then as soon as I got in and settled my son ended up in ER. He had another breakdown. So it has been a long day.

What a beautiful job you did with this doll dress! I love her little lace-trimmed knickers ;) I have the same patterns with the up-dated outfits, and have made a few things from that. I prefer these old-fashioned dressed for dolls though, they're more fun to make.

Diane,
I haven't heard the word "pantaloons" in awhile, and these are so sweet. Diana is always sharing something creative with us, I just love her to pieces.

Have a restful weekend, and I hope you're back to your self soon.
