What fun I had using a couple of different patterns to come up with a pretty Victorian style dress for my doll Ginger.
And it looked even better when I went through some old lace and found a scrap of unfinished crochet to use for a little cape for her.
I thought she looked like Jo from Little Women.
I have her posed with Rose now.
JoAnn and I have been busy making Christmas outfits for our 18 inch Madame Alexander dolls.
Ginger has her very own needlepoint stocking and a toy box filled with dolls.
Thanks for joining us again this week
for Wednesday Wee Ones!
I’m joining Roses of Inspiration
the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,
Don’t forget to
take time to PLAY!!!

Diane, How cute. I love the crochet material shawl. The little stocking is adorable. That is one of my all time favorite books and movies...Little Women. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Ginger is just lovely. I adore her little stocking. I like the way you have her displayed. It's so cute.
OH Diane, your Ginger looks so pretty in her holiday outfit. I just love your creativity and talent. It makes me want to go out and buy my own sweet doll and join in on the fun!
Hello Diane,
What a beautiful doll and gorgeous Christmas dress you made for her!! I saw the dress Ana made and I love that too!!

Diane!
I love that dress, you did an awesome job. I love it. Ginger looks so smart in her Victorian dress, and yes she looks like Jo from Little Women.
Keep having fun!
Hugs,
Arlette
Ginger is so darling in her gorgeous Christmas outfit! Oh, dear Diane! You sew so beautifully and I adore all the sweet outfits you make for your dolls!
Sending you hugs and love!
She is beautiful, and I'm pretty jealous of the dress. You have outdone yourself.
How lovely! Your tree is awfully cute too!
Ginger looks ready for Christmas. Her Christmas dress is beautiful. I have been collecting bits and pieces of lace from the thrift stores recently and it is nice to have some on hand. As I collect pins on Pinterest, I am left in awe at how beautiful these dolls are and what joy they bring. I got our little 3 year old granddaughter a MA for Christmas and can't wait to see her open it up. I've made six dresses for the little girls on my list who have the dolls and ordered the cutest little matching Mary Janes from a web site called Silly Monkey. All, mostly, because of how you have inspired me. I enjoy seeing your dolls so much. Snow here. 18 degrees in the sun.
Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,
Can't visit now - we're playing.

They are both beautiful, Diane, but I just love ginger's dress with the 'lacy' top! So pretty. She's all set to start watching Downton Abbey with us! (Okay, I know it's a different era, not Edwardian, but...)
Have a wonderful day, friend.

What a pretty dress! It's perfect for the Christmas season. Love the lace cape too. Thanks for hosting such a fun party. It helps me slow down and enjoy a little bit of play time. Thank you. Sending you a big hug.
Much love,
❤️Ana
Morning,so lovely, I do love Old Victorian, Blessings Francine.
Jo was my favourite in Little Women! The dress is just beautiful & what a stroke of genius to put the crochet with it for a shawl!
Ginger has such a lovely tree and gifts. All of our dolls are busy decorating - it is nice to have the help. We almost matched again this week - love the dress you made with the red fabric - and the sweet bow in Miss Ginger's hair - and her friend is so cute, helping to decorate. I love this week's post - it has been fun. Have a grand week my friend.
So pretty! You are so talented. I wish I could sew like that. Love your collectible dolls :)
Diane, that crochet shawl is gorgeous! Ginger looks so ready for the holidays. :-)
Ohhhh, so lovely. Just loved your pretty dolls and that outfit is fabulous! Thanks for posting. Susan
The doily cape is inspired! Always fun to see the dolls so beautifully dressed and presented.
Lovely, I agree, she looks like Jo. :-)
How much fun! Darling dress.

Your doll outfit is lovely and I like that she is my favorite character in Little Women. The shawl is something--is that your crocheting? I would love to learn to crochet lace.
so cute and i love your cutie tree..
hugs x
Que bonita con su vestido navideño, me encanta!!!!! besos
Aahh, your Victorian doll is pretty, Diane, and her red dress is just right for Christmas. I used to be into the Victorian decorating a long time ago, and to this day, I still love it. There's something about this era that speaks to me.

I need to hire you as my life coach. I need to MAKE the time to play!!!
Adorable Christmass Doll but especially love the needlepoint stocking!!
Ginger does look lovely in her lace shawl and her festive holiday dress. Rose looks quite fetching in her red dress and I love the red shoes too. Their tree and the toy box full of dolls as well as the needlepoint stocking makes for a beautiful vignette I am sorry to say my girls don't have any new holiday clothes for Christmas. Play time has been very limited lately.
