Rainbow Springs State Park “Azaleas in Full Bloom”

February is the best time to visit Rainbow Springs.

rIMG_7947

The weather is gorgeous in February and the Azaleas are in full bloom.

RainbowSignIMG_7932

We were surprised to see many of the Camelias were still blooming too!

rIMG_7952

We walked and walked.

And I kept taking photos of the view of the Springs.

(and YES, there were several people swimming)

Hubby took most of the flower close ups with his little Nikon P300.

How do you stand all that beauty Diane?? I thought of you the other morning at our Country place. Mr Blue Heron visited the pond. I tried to get my camera but by the time I was ready for the shot he had flown off!!

Diane, You do have some beautiful places to hike. Love all the flowers. The pictures of water with flowers on the banks is gorgeous. Blessings for a fun filled new week. xoxo, Susie

Just gorgeous! There's something about the colours of the azaleas and the sheen of the water that gives your photos that old-time technicolour look!

Diane, these photos are knocking my socks off! I'm so eager for garden walks -- thanks for filling that need for me till we have them here!

I've been to Florida and went out in a 14 foot motor boat in Lake Okeechobee, there were alligators almost as big as our boat. When I see those kayaker out there I think . . . where are your brains. Honestly would you do that?

My, what a beautiful place! I wish I could jump into your photos and enjoy some time among the flowers :)

Happy Monday, dear friend. Hugs!

Absolutely beautiful pictures, so glad you shared these. And the others of YOUR PARKS THERE IN FLORIDA---there is so much more to your beautiful state than just the beaches and the resorts! Sure, I like the beaches, but it's the parks with the springs that keep intriguing me--I can't get over how pretty the blue/green/clear water is and also how COLD IT IS, even in the summer. Great and refreshing on a sweaty hot summer day. You have such lovely flowers and plants and trees/birds there as well, I'm sure GLAD YOU TAKE PICTURES of them so we can enjoy them. I just love Florida! Well, we just finished up the Wildlife Expo yesterday night and whew!---I am still wiped out! LOL I have about a thousand pictures to still sort out and am trying to get posts up. Meeting Jeff Corwin was so neat! Our daughter literally grew up loving him and watching him....and Saturday was a DREAM COME TRUE for her, we surprised her and I still can't beleive we pulled it off, LOL! The look on her face was priceless.
