Keep One, Donate One, Give one away

I went to TWO festivals last weekend!

(above taken at Rainbow Springs Cracker Festival)

And I came home with some goodies. The nice people at Sholom Park’s Fun at the Park event gave away bags filled with fun!

I gave away one of the books, donated one to the library and kept one.

Yes, I kept the coloring book and I have crayons and colored pencils to color in it!

I bought two items at the Cracker Festival at Rainbow Springs.

My daughter in law said this looks like an ‘I SPY’ box!!!

DSCN3438

Do you ‘spy’ the snake? I bought it for my hubby for a grand total of $2!!!

I guess I thought I was worth more than that because I bought myself this handmade box for $10 which I thought was a great bargain!

I think it looks nice with my old books and pottery.

I’m thankful for festivals, pretty handmade items and nice people! How about you?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

The little wooden box looks so cute with the old books. Are you going to fill it with tiny treasures?

I love your little wooden box and your old books. I would have definitely stopped at the wooden box, not the snake. I have a terrible fear of them, even painted ones:)

What is Mr. Lavender going to do with the snake? He won't decorate a shelf with it, I hope. That box is a great find. I have a thing for boxes and tins and things like that and I see that you do, too.

It's always fun to "score" or find a great bargain at a festival. I like your box, but probably not the snake. Even if it's not real, it's too real looking for me!!!!

Of course I always love children's books, especially old children's books, Diane! I would have bought that box too. It looks great, very well made. I love old treasure boxes like that and have a few myself. :-) Hope you have a nice weekend! xo

My blogger friend Sandra went to the start of the Cracker Festival and posted some cool cowboy on pretty horses pictures. Small world. I love coloring, I must post about that soon. So peaceful and so much fun. I'm glad you had such a fun day.

The wooden box is pretty, Diane. It looks nice on your shelf. You came home with lots of goodies. You know, The Berenstain Bears is my favorite children's book, and I still have the ones I read to the kids when they were little. : )

Have a restful weekend.

Great finds . . . I miss thrifting . . . maybe as the weather gets nicer there will be sometime for outings. It is suppose to reach 45 degrees today . . . that will feel like a heatwave after our cold winter :)

What a cool box, Diane! "The Lorax" book is right in time for Dr. Seuss's b'day celebration weekend. The Springfield Museum celebrates the Springfield native's March 2 birthday on Saturday this year. :)

I am glad to see that you kept the coloring book. Now we can be friends! Ha! Ha!

I once had a printer's tray like the one you bought for $2. I put seashells in mine also. I think they are pretty.

Your little handmade box made me regret selling mine at a garage sale. Like yours all the pieces were dove tailed. So pretty.

Have a happy weekend!

I'm not a good shopper. If I lived near you, I'd sign up for lessons... you really score the most amazing stuff.
