I always look up at the sky when I'm out and about. And one evening when I was walking with friends, we looked up and saw hundreds of birds overhead! They were high up, flying South and of course it was in the evening around dusk.
I think they are Great White Egrets.
They just kept streaming over!
And then when we hiked at Blue Run Park last weekend, I looked up and saw a flock of Cormorants.
We see them in the water pretty often but these were flying high in the sky.
So who got left behind?
We've had 2 Canada Geese at the pond for a couple of weeks now.
They are usually winter guests here in Florida.
Maybe it's because they are two headed and can't fly!
(I'M KIDDING...I'M KIDDING!!!)
I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE
and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

Two headed goose! Lol That's a great shot as well as your birds in flight, Diane. You always show us such pretty sights. Enjoy the weekend. ♥
I try to make a point of looking up, when I'm out with my camera...or any time
:)
Oh my! How magnificent.
I'm prepping up a post now for the next day or two and a mama Canada goose plays a big role! Check it out soon!
Great photos, it really does look like the Canada goose has two heads.
Hello, I love seeing the flocks of birds in flight. The two-headed goose probably does have a hard time flying, lol. I am always looking up too. Great photos.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Lovely photography and what a fun photo with the goose looking like it has 2 heads ~ thanks,
Wishing you a fun weekend ~ ^_^
We are seeing many Canadian Geese this spring, and some stay all summer.
Happy Weekend (it's going to be a stormy one up here)
beautiful photographs..i love them so much.
happy weekend x
Poor little geese :( Please send them home to us. Canada Geese are getting more and more confused. We now have hundreds wintering here along Lake Ontario.
However, maybe two heads are better than one, and this goose has figured out it's easier to stay where he is than make such a long journey!
Wendy
PS I think the sighting of the flock of great white egrets is amazing!!!
Diane, You surely get to see many water fowl and birds. Those darn geese. LOL You many have to paint them pink like a flamingo if they stay. :):) Hope you are enjoying your time out walking. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Diane, too cute! I am amazed that you can tell what kind of birds they are so high up in the sky! xo
🤓Too funny! Two headed and can't fly. Maybe they just got their EBT cards and aren't going anywhere. Those are sights I have never seen...cormorants and egrets.
Oh, those precious geese. Their honk is loud, and you can always hear them coming. That must have been a sight when you saw the Great White Egrets.
Have a restful weekend, Diane.
love, ~Sheri
Oh, what sights those must have been. I would love to have seen both egrets and cormorants...
LOL, I've photographed some 2-headed geese too!
And here's me getting excited when I see one Great White Egret! Life is so unfair Diane.
Amazing! And I'm not talking about the two headed species!! :))
Jane x
Oh my gosh....that is hilarious! Two heads are better than one, unless you need to fly somewhere. Just hope they don't catch the United Flight...they may get dragged off.
Love your flight images. Cormorants are so fun to watch. You'd think they'd tire out from all the fast wing flapping.
Thanks so much for linking in and sharing this with us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin' this weekend. It's much appreciated.
Love it Diane! LOL! I look to the sky too! Unlike you, when I need it, I never have my camera ready! you seem to always be in the right place at the right time and looking in the right direction! Have a lovely week!
xo
Linda
We have two Canadian Geese who seem to think they are Georgia Geese.lol We did see some mallard ducks at the pond this trip as well as a BEAVER. Hoping he finds another home and does not decide to build a dam on our pond.
Those Canada Geese aren't stupid- they know it's still cool up here, so they're staying a little longer to enjoy your warm temperatures!
You are fortunate to see all these pretty birds! I enjoyed your pictures very much. Love the two headed one! lol
I just sent an email with a good book suggestion.
God bless you both this afternoon and in the new week. xoxo
All I have to say is: Wow! Love those birds in flight pictures.
My favorite is the two headed goose! Have a wonderful week!
Too funny, the two-headed geese {smiles} Great pictures of the birds flying overhead, that is hard to capture! I wonder if your two geese have laid some eggs, it is about time for their young to hatch I think, at least the ones we have here are about to hatch. Have a blessed week :)
Wow --so many birds flying overhead like this is a beautiful sight to see, Diane! I love when they fly in a "V" formation. I heard that the lead bird takes turns with others. It is owl season here. I never seems to be able to see them but I hear them in the trees.
Wow - I've never seen cormorants in flight like that -- and never that many egrets. Very cool. And wow, I haven't even seen one one-headed Canada goose here in Florida. We have tons of them in Oregon, but so far all with only one head ;>)
very cool pics! I love Spring! There's an excitement in the air that even the birds seem to stir!
Great shots Diane ...
All the best Jan
