Southern Magnolias

The Magnolias are in full bloom here in Florida!

They have such huge blooms, fragrant and beautiful!

These were taken at Shalom Park. I walk there every Thursday morning after I shop at the Farmer's Market.

It's dry here but everything is green and lush...heat and humidity!
How's your weather?

I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE.

Maybe it's been too dry here. No blooms that I've seen. Which isn't bad for me. They kill my sinuses.

We had some major rain yesterday and it removed all the rose blooms. Maybe we will have more bloom soon. Love your photos.

So rich and creamy, these waxy flowers almost look faux to me although I know they're not.
Walking through Shalom park sounds lovely, I hope the heat and humidity don't get you down.
Happy Mosaic Monday.

Love magnolias. My sister-in-law has a lovely large, old bush but it will be a couple of weeks for it to bloom.

Heat and humidity -- UGH. It seems to start earlier each year! Love the magnolias -- magnificent! Happy Monday!

Hello, the magnolia blooms are so pretty. We have some native trees here too, the blooms are one of my favorites. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!

They are beautiful! Makes me think of the song Magnolia by Poco...have you heard it?

Love the sweet smell of magnolias in the summertime.

This is just beautiful, Diane! And oh, what a glorious place to walk.

Our weather is brisk to say the least. 50s. Breezy. At least today is sunny -- last week, not so much! We keep hoping for a slight heat wave!

We had two days of summer and then back to chilly wet spring. I envy your current weather situation.

Weather here is oh so hot, we should get the cooling rains starting in June, fingers crossed
Happy Mosaic Monday

Our weather in TN has been HOT and HUMID the past week ---but we have had some much-needed rain. AND--they say that we will not be as hot this week as we were last week. YEAH.... (I hate hot weather.)

Love your pictures.... Magnolias are so amazing and I love their smell...When I worked full-time when I lived in TX , I'd stop by a big Magnolia tree and take a bloom to our office for the day... Made everything smell so so so good....

I posted a full moon over the water on my blog post today.

Hugs,
Betsy

Such pretty photos, sweet friend. My parents had 2 magnolia trees by their porch and I remember the fragrance so well. We are receiving much needed rain yesterday and today. Have a nice evening.

They're blooming here too. My neighbor has a tree and they are beautiful and one bloom will scent an entire room! Their leaves are huge too and when Fall comes they are a mess....so glad it's in her yard and not mine! LOL!

Magnolias . . . they must be heavenly :)

The magnolia blossoms are so pretty, Diane. I wish I could get a whiff of them from my screen.
I read your post about the baby Hawks. How fun to see them. I've had a hawk visit my little backyard 18 times since my Beleoved passed away, and sometimes I take pictures of him in the tree.
Hope you have a happy week!

What have you been purchasing at the market?

Beautiful, beautiful magnolias! Have tons of these in full bloom and I was just thinking that I needed to stop and get some photos of them. Beautiful mosaics, Diane! Have a blessed week...HUGS!

My sweet neighbor has a magnolia tree and when the branches were where she could reach them, she would share a bloom with me. Now they are so high we have to enjoy them with our eyes only! I painted a magnolia blossom - a 16X20 - that still hangs in my den. It was such a popular painting that I did one for my sister and another one or two for gifts to friends.

What a lovely place for your Thursday walk. The magnolias are beautiful.

I love to see the magnolias when we are in Asheville. I thought we didn't have the climate to grow them here but I have a friend in Wisconsin who has no problem! Yay!

Love Magnolias. You certainly have a beautiful place to walk.. We have been at the beach where it was warm, humid and very windy.

Southern Magnolia! Someone should make a soap with that fragrance. LOL. They are beautiful, aren't they!! Well it's not hot and humid here. Cold and rainy. I'll be glad to see the sun again, someday. Hope you have a great week. xo

They are so beautiful. Our home in Oregon (the one we sold to travel ) had a beautiful big Magnolia Grandiflora tree in the front yard...honestly I think it was why we bought that house! What a great place to walk and so cool it's near your farmers market.

They're so beautiful. We don't get too many in SoFlo. Weather's dry and hot here too, but prefer to humid and hot which is just around the corner.

I have been in Georgia for five years now and I still get such joy out of some of the wonderful southern flowers. Lucky for me the previous owner planted magnolia and gardenias :-) I planted a Christmas camellia and it actually lived and is thriving !!! Your photos are beautiful as always.

I can smell the magnolias just by looking at the pictures. Thanks for the glorious shots!

Those magnolia blooms are so creamy and rich looking. Amazing! Hope the heat and humidity doesn't get you down. Send some our way (heat, not humidity).

What pretty magnolia blooms. I've always loved this flower. That fountain in the middle of the water is delightful. So nice that you take walks here every Thursday. It's getting warmer here, and signs of summer are all around.

I've always loved magnolias, but they don't thrive here in Ohio. It was 72 degrees here today. I wore a sweater to the doctor's office because I knew they would have the A/C on. It takes me a while to warm up the spring. We have been having a lot of rain here. It was a wash over the weekend and it is supposed to be another one this weekend. Take care!

Hello. Here I am way down at the bottom of the list.I have been quite remiss in blogging these days and I do miss my friends. I always surprised by the beauty of and variety of vegetation in Florida and we tend to say that I'd like to grow that; however, we need to just appreciate own beauty. Love the magnolia.

Diane, we don't have Magnolias in NJ (that I'm aware of...). I love seeing them here in NC. So regal and fragrant. ♥

Magnolia blooms are so pretty. I love taking pics of them but they are awesome to paint also. I have painted pics a couple of times of Magnolia blooms. HAHA....I understand about organizing PINTEREST boards. I need to go through and look at things again. Sometimes I do that and my taste has changed and I wonder why I pinned something to begin with.

I wish I could smell them! Oh I do love the smell of Magnolias, so fragrant and glorious. What a nice walk to take after visiting the Farmer's market! Such a beautiful spot! I don't miss the humidity at all from the south, but it sure is nice to see all that green! Enjoyed your post today :)

I have one blossom! I'm so happy! Yours are amazing.

Oh pretty pretty pretty pretty. I can almost smell them. Our summer is finally beginning - we are getting up over 65 now - and to us waterlogged Pacific Northwesters that is almost a heat wave. Days spent on the deck- maybe I'll get some doll photos done while the sun is so nice and warm.

Gorgeous! They look so exotic! Almost like orchids!
