Sholom “Peace”

We are so blessed to have the beautiful Sholom Park nearby.

And even though trees were lost during Hurricane Irma, it is still a place of peace.

My hubby and I spent about an hour walking all through the park this week and saw lots of workers still restoring some of the areas.

But for the most part, it is in good shape.

The weather has cooled quite a bit so we’ve taken advantage of it to get outside.

10Oct

It’s been a very good week for me. I am on a new computer TODAY! And my hubby worked hard to transfer files from my ‘old one’. It didn’t exactly fail, it just slowed down to a crawl. I couldn’t visit much because of the problem with loading a page. Even my emails took forever. So I’m very pleased to be on a new Acer Netbook. I’m zipping right along. And if I haven’t visited with you lately….shout it out! I can’t wait to catch up with everyone!

I’m also writing this in Windows Live Writer. It hasn’t been available in awhile so I’m anxious to see if this will work! Cross your fingers for luck!

What’s new with you today?

I'm glad your beautiful park wasn't too badly damaged in the hurricane. What a beautiful shot of the butterfly on the pink petals (last photo). Nothing like a new computer to make you feel suddenly ready to tackle the techy world again :) Good luck with your new gear.

It's awesome to buy from those who are trying to make a life. The ribbons are so pretty and so is the book!

How great to have a new computer! Sometimes, we can clear and delete and defrag but it still doesn't work!

Diane! Always a pleasure to see your name pop up. Love those gorgeous colors. Looks like we survived another storm, sis. ;) It was a close one though.

THANK YOU so much for for the link to Wilde Stories. How'd you guess he's one of my favorites? ;)

Blogger is making it almost impossible to comment unless you have a Blogger blog or a Google account, so I went ahead and created one so I can comment on your page and Sheri's (Red Rose Alley). Hope this goes through.

Stay in touch. I normally don't open comments on my photo-journal, but feel free to visit my film food page (link on my home page), or Instagram if you're ever there.

Sholom Park looks like a beautiful place to go walking. Glad to hear the hurricane damage wasn't too bad.
I sense the happiness in your post. Nothing like a nice zippy computer to make the blogging process run smoother. I think mine is nearing the end. Ugh!

Yay for a working computer! And I am very glad that your special park has been restored after the terrible hurricanes. You were asking about the storm here that was nothing like the hurticanes you folks had...my sis just emailed to say that she has her power restored...finally! It’s been a long five days for them.

We've had some warm days here, but a "cold front" is expected this weekend. I'm amazed that I have Rhododendron, azalea, and even a few daffodils up--they don't know what season it is!
