"Wednesday Wee Ones" Wendy to the Rescue!

Let's see....where do I begin with this story!

Wendy is special. She was given to me years ago by a friend and has traveled with me and done a lot of fun things over the years! So when my husband walked out the door carrying Wendy, it didn't totally surprise me. Well, it surprised me a little. But he was going over to our friends' house so I just figured they had asked to see her. It was really all about a surprise for ME! My husband asked our friends, Terry and Sandy to make a cute little vest for Wendy....just for the fun of it!

(Service Doll, do not pet)

Wendy of course has taken her role seriously!

And when Toby jumped up on the back of a chair, she was right there to coax him down.

It wasn't easy but she persevered!

Dolls that persevere? Now you've heard everything!

Or have you?

Wendy thinks I've been taking credit for some of her art!

And I think my husband has been walking around the house with Wendy.

Don't judge us....we're retired! Allow us a 'little' fun!

Wendy's friend Kelsey is showing off her 'groovy' dress today! Visit Homespun Hannah's HERE for her 'wee one'!

I'm happy to be sharing a "Wednesday Wee Ones" today

and I’m joining Thankful Thursdays .

Hello,

Cute post. Wendy is a pretty doll and I love Toby too. I am sure there are plenty that would enjoy Wendy the Service Doll. Wishing you a happy day!

That husband of yours is always thinking. ☺️ Wendy is so cute. She’s a little sad, though. I think I see a perpetual tear. If you’re having fun and not causing any trouble, except for that art theft thing, who am I to judge?

Oh I am so glad you did a dolly post. I have been missing them. Stay tuned to Nanaland on Friday to see a special doll in my life.

Oh, I have always loved dolls and I used to collect them. I have a friend whose little girl, almost two, looks a lot like Wendy. Wendy is so adorable and she looks so lifelike with her pudgy little hands and that tear; oh my! I like how you propped her up to coax the pup down. Such a cute post! Made my day, thank you!

I absolutely LOVE this... and these pictures! So many things can be important to us & not only in-the-flesh humans & animals. I sleep with a special little stuffed dog every night. I grab him, pull him close to my chest, kiss his little furry head, and fall fast asleep. He is a comfort to me & I love him very much. So I understand the importance of this little dolly. Thank you so much for sharing her with us & telling us her story. Love, Andrea xoxo

There's no judging coming from me! I have all my dolly friends (my 'staff') lined up in my sewing room. I understand. Wendy is just as cute as can be, and her art work is outstanding!!

Oh my gosh...Wendy is precious. And your photos of her painting reminds me of one year around Christmas, I set up our dining room table for the holidays & put a stuffed ALF (the tv alien) on one of the chars and put a Santa cap on him. He just barely came up to the table top and sat there the entire season...so, NO...I'm not gonna judge your fun!! You go girl!

I love Wendy!! she is adorable and I got a GOOD LAUGH over her sweet little vest!!!---what a great idea!!! Now if you and me ever get together, and I sure hope we DO!!---we have to bring Wendy and one of my dollies so they can "adventure" together, whether in Charleston or in Florida, sound like a good idea?? Just think of the fun posts we could make..... Hope your week has gone well. Guess I need to get "tansy" out for a new spring adventure here shortly.....wait!--we made Easter pictures, maybe I will post those! Hugs my Diane!
