Sholom Park is beautiful at any time of year.
Hubby and I had some errands we needed to run together and on the loop around town, he surprised me by pulling into Sholom Park.
It was nice and cool so we took a quick walk around the gardens.
I had thrown my 'baby' camera in my bag so all of these photos are taken with a NIKON Coolpix P310. It's a small camera that fits in the palm of your hand and takes some of the best close ups.
The breeze was blowing my hair in the right direction for a change! I had hiking shoes on but you may not recognize me without my pink cap! lol
And hubby looked handsome in a lavender colored shirt. And a 'matching' hat? heehee!
They are always planting more plants and adding flower beds. Not sure what this tall shrub was...reminds me of the flame Azalea that blooms in early Spring in NC.
Lots of Camellia flowers still blooming too.
We saw Swallowtail Kites but I plan to go back to take pics of them. They nest at Sholom Park every year in the same area so it's nice to see them back again.
Have you had a chance to get outside this week? And do you really think sandals would look better with capris than hiking shoes? hahaha!
I’m joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE

Shalom Park is one of my favorites of your walking parks now Diane. It is so serene.
Diane, Your hubby is a sweetie, taking you for a walk. LOL. I love all the beautiful flowers there . Having a camera handy is important. :) Blessings for a great new eek, xoxo, love, Susie
Good morning Diane,
What a nice park! The flowers are so pretty! The close up of the brown-eyes Susan is gorgeous! Really looking forward to seeing some flowers in this neck of the woods! Loved the photos of you and your hubby! Have a great week of hiking my friend!
Hello, Happy April. The flowers are all so pretty. Nice shots of you and your hubby! It looks like a pretty park and nice spot for a walk. Happy Monday, enjoy your day! Wishing you a great new week ahead!
Oh oh oh... how absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us. Love, Andrea xoxo
Of course sandals look better -- but they aren't nearly as comfy and you know I go for comfy!
Lovely blooms here!
Sholom Park is a beauty. Love all the flowers and beautiful skies. You're a couple counties north of me - I've never made it to Citrus County but really need to check it out!
Great photos, as always. Love seeing the pics of you and your hubby! That is a lovely park to walk in. Speaking of walk... your sneaks look fine with your capris!!
What a cute couple you two are!
Hi Diane, thank you for the sweet comment and visit to my blog about the link up party. Thanks for being so supportive and linking up with us all of these years!
That park is so beautiful and so nice that you get to take all of those hikes to see such pretty flowers and nature.
Have a nice afternoon and a wonderful week.
Hugs, Julie xo
I keep extra shoes in my car just in case it is muddy or I wasn't ready for a hike
Hiking shoes are my favorite footwear! That is such a beautiful park. We see swallowtails kites here too , but I despair of ever getting a picture. Maybe if I knew where they nested!
...I had a Coolpik too, I miss it.
Looks like a perfect day. These days I don't care much what looks better, I go for what is more comfortable
Great photos, my friend. You are a pretty lady. And your husband is awesome with the pink hat! Hugs!!!
Looks like another great place for walking.
I've been out every day walking. Some days among the snow flurries! :)
Especially like your beautiful flower pictures. I'm happy that I got my three miles of walking done today on a not so warm spring day.
Oh, to see those flowers really made me smile. Such pretty ones at the park this time of year. Yes, those look like Azaleas, but the middle sprouts out. The color is lovely. This is a really good picture of you, Diana. How nice of your husband to surprise you with this visit to Sholom Park. I can't wait to spend time in nature soon.

Diane - I think you hired one of those professional photographers with a fan to blow your hair in just the right way! LOL! Bright flowers to add color to our day. We had a mixture of sudden showers and then sunshine today, so I got my joy inside! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!
What a beautiful place to visit, such abundant beauty and blooms! Great pictures of you both too... looks like it was an amazing day to be out enjoying the park! It is always a good idea to have some sort of camera on hand, lol! Your little camera did a great job! I love those camellia blooms, just gorgeous. Too cold here for them. Have a blessed and lovely week :)
The orange flower definitely looks like an azalea.
A blooming paradise! Yes, I think that it is an azalea - stunning & bright.
Como se nota la primavera!!! preciosas flores y precioso lugar, besos
Wonderful pictures!Hugs!
Yes, bougainvillea (all species) have thorns!
Great outing! Fantastic oictures.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful park with us. You had a gorgeous day for a walk.
This is a gorgeous park! And a beautiful header. I love the Camellia. None of these flowers have bloomed here yet.
i am capris and flip flops all the way, but i am sure it is better to wear hiking shoes or sneakers!!
that's a beautiful park, gorgeous flowers...you should get a folding/collapsable try-pod so you could take pictures together!!
Such lovely blooms and finally I saw that the trees here in my part of NH are starting to bud! You really do have lovely places to walk.
What a beautiful park! Your handsome hubby had a great idea to stop there. Isn't it wonderful when the wind blows in your favour?
You are a sweet lady I enjoy visiting. Those gardens are so gorgeous. I am awed by God’s power and beauty in creation! Hope you have a simply wonderful day....
How wonderful to have that beautiful park nearby!
You look adorable, dear lady, the spring photos are beautiful! I am looking forward to spring staying for a while! I haven't spent much time outside lately the pollen has bee so thick, but am hoping to real soon. And don't you just love surprises like this one? Have a blessed day.

You always have the best places to hike! And such beautiful things to see, like springtime blossoms! :-) I like the inclusion of photos of you and your hubby. Sweet! Nothing is better than hiking shoes for a good walk. :-)
What a nice park!
Diane, is that one of your new outfits? Such a sweet smile.
Beautiful photos! :-) Love the pictures of you and your husband too, good to see your smiling faces. Our weather has been so weird lately... yesterday we had snow showers and temperatures in the low 30's. Then today it's sunny and in the 70's! Crazy!! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
Blessings,
Jill
Of course sandals would look better, but let's be practical here (and you were!!!). At our age, we need to maintain the health of our feet as much as we possibly can, including good supportive shoes when hiking.
Like you, I think it's fun to see a blog from my local area with pictures. We have driven quickly through Sholom Park but have not had the time yet to take a leisurely stroll through there.
We should be done opening all of our moving boxes by the end of this week. This has been the most exhausting part of the move, but I want to "get my house in order."
Lovely pictures of you and your hubby.
So nice to see the different colour flowers too.
All the best Jan
