"Happy Memorial Day"

I have lots of photos from recent hikes so I put together a couple of mosaics to share what I've seen on the last two!

(Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly)

Hike #71

I hope everyone is having a beautiful Memorial day and taking time to be thankful for the sacrifices made to keep us free! I'll be spending time visiting the patients at the Legacy Hospice House today. I always feel humbled when I spend the day with those that are at the end of their lives. Let's all be compassionate and pray for one another.

Hike #72

I’m joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

We were away last week, so my apologies for not replying to your comments on my blog last week. We went on a couple of hikes too. The autumn weather was perfect for it. Have a great week.

Photography is my thing, as you can see from my blog this week. Retirement gives me so much more time to indulge my passions. And hopefully help someone along the way too.

I'm always in awe of what you see on your fabulous hikes, Diane. I wish I could join you, but I thought of you as I was hiking in the Hill Country of Texas.
What a special way of celebrating Memorial Day, by honoring Hospice patients. God bless you and them!

So beautiful that you will volunteer today. And I like your idea of numbering your hikes. I need to start walking again or my legs will not make it, numbering my very sort walks may be an inspiration. Thanks and I know you will have a great Memorial Day.

well, it made it to 100 here, it was awful hot so we stayed home and had plenty of house projects to work on and stay busy! Mr Front Porch smoked us some real good pork meat for supper and we had it on old fashioned white bread, and "tater" salad and cole slaw. It was yum!! I love your trail pictures and especially the trail ones because I look at it and wonder "where does this trail lead to and what might we see there?"

Such a wonderful thing you do, Diane, spending time with Hospice patients. I visited my Uncle who is sick recently, and my Aunt says he's in the Hospice stage. It was good to see him, but sad at the same time. How very special that you are there for these people right now. Your butterfly photo is lovely.

Just home from Grimmwood and loved seeing your beautiful photos. We do live in a wonderful country, despite its faults.
