I drove 'next door' to Sholom Park and walked after I went to the Farmer's market last week.
Ahhh....so peaceful and beautiful!
Neat trails and lots of flowers blooming.
It was a good chance to get close up and personal with the Magnolia trees!
Aren't the blooms amazing?
So much detail in each and every one! And so fragrant!

oh my gosh the magnolias are beautiful, I love the way the petals cup the stamens as they fall, what a beautiful walk you took us on today. No magnolias grow here, far too far north.
yes, there are magnolias on our street and the streets around us. they are such large trees, and the flowers look UP to the sun, and make it difficult to get photos like these.

I don't know if magnolias grow in California. They don't grow here in the mountains, I don't think. But I remember them from when I lived in Princeton, NJ. They are just lovely and your pictures a special.
My next door neighbor has a magnolia tree. It is a tradition that she gifts me a bloom each spring. Now that I think about it - the tree has grown so tall that I'm wondering if I will get one this year. They may be out of reach!

Oh, these pictures stirred my heart. This trail is so pretty. Look at those purple flowers alongside it. And the magnolia blossoms are beautiful. There is a magnolia tree in the neighborhood, but I haven't seen any blossoms yet this Spring. Their center is so unusual and detailed, and I love the photos you took of the petals, that's amazing. I hope you brought home some goodies at the Farmer's Market. Fresh fruit sounds good right now.

fabulous photos. And I don't know about magnolias and Arizona. Only lied here about 2 weeks. LOL
we had lots of magnolias around our neighborhood when we lived on the VA eastern shore, but none here in Nashua, NH. The walk you shared with us was a colorful one and those blooms were beautiful.

Those are gorgeous. Magnolias don’t really do as well here, I think it’s too hot. They turn brown almost as soon as they bloom. But they do beautifully in Oregon! The house we lived in for 30 years and sold when we retired had a beautiful big Southern Magnolia in the front yard. I swear I think that tree was why we bought the house! Nice memories!
Any park with a name like Shalom Park should indeed be a beautiful place.
Diane - I agree with Laurie - I have never before seen a photo with the petals cupping the stamens - a wonderful symbol of southern hospitality! No, we don't have magnolias in Montana, so I will have to enjoy them through you! Thanks for spreading a little magnolia love around Mosaic Monday.

A beautiful park to walk in and enjoy the plants especially the Magnolias flowers. I am not sure about Magnolias growing here.

Magnolia blooms are magical aren't they? Being from Mississippi, I grew up with them since they are our state flower! To my amazement, Texas has many Magnolia trees included in the landscaping. What a beautiful walking trail you shared today...thank you!

We are so enjoying the Magnolia tree our builder planted right outside Beloved's study window (on the front of the house), as well as the looooong line of them as we approach the entrance to our community. They are stunning right now!
