Florida Fun on the Farm!

There are a lot of fun things to do in Florida but most of you know that I consider getting out in nature the MOST fun!

When I volunteer at the Legacy Hospice house on Monday afternoons, I can turn right out of the parking lot and drive a half mile to a beautiful farm. I've seen horses, cows, goats, wild turkeys and hawks in the trees.

So one day I took a neat photo with big beautiful clouds in the sky.

But then the very next week, there were some pretty cows in the field.

So I played with a photo and put them together. Don't ask me how I did it. I'm still not sure! hahaha! But I used Photoscape and I'm still learning what's possible with this photo editing program.

Lots of beauty at the farm. (and yes, I could stop on this rural road and take pics without any problem!)

Do you enjoy working on your photos?
What photo editing program do you use?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays .

I love your cow pictures. That area of Florida is so pretty! I need to find an editing program, because I love to fool around with stuff like that.

Diane, I would like to up my editing. I just use the photo shop on my mac book. I have never purchased photo editing hardware but maybe I should look into it.

Hello,

I love the views of the clouds and the cattle. The farm land is a beautiful sight. I do not have a special edit program, I do use the Picasa to crop and lighten sometimes. I wish I was more creative and techy! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day! Have a happy weekend ahead.

Cool what you did there!! Love the photos. Pretty enough to paint!

Speaking of painting, do you mind if I try painting one of those pictures?

Hi Diane,
I use PicMonkey but haven't had time to do much with it lately. I do like the program though.
Love your pictures.
A friend of mine is looking at moving to FL. He is looking at Ocala, Lake Wales and Sebring. It will be interesting to see what he picks. xo Diana

I have no idea how to edit photos apart from brightening up or bringing in the shadows more. This looks great! Love those clouds!

Such pretty photos and you are so clever to put them together. I don't use any program for my photos. I just shoot and post.

It's always fun to take pictures at a farm cause there's so many interesting things to see. Love the cows, they're sweet to photograph. Most of my nature pictures aren't edited at all. Once in awhile, I will make the grass a bit greener and the colors more vivid, but I have a great zoom-in lens on my camera which enables me to get a close-up when I'm far away. I have an editing program on my computer, and that's pretty much all I use.

Ocala is one of the most beautiful parts of our state. I tried to get bob to relocate there, a few years ago. he wants to be close to the beaches and he has not been on a beach in YEARS... I would love to see all of this and have fun in photoscape.

That's brilliant, great job! The scenery is stunning and I always enjoy seeing the cows in photos. I enjoy working on my own photos, especially enjoy putting them in collages.

Great scenery - cows are not something I usually think of when I think of Florida! When Picasa was available, I downloaded it onto my computer and I still use it for fast and simple editing. But I guess that's not very helpful for you today.

You live in a beautiful place, and good for you for volunteering at the hospice. I vowed to learn to do Photoshop, but I haven't started yet. So little time - I guess it just isn't a priority.

I love back country roads where you can pull over and get pictures. These are wonderful.
I've been using photoshop elements to edit pictures for quite a while. I've tried some of the online editing programs but never cared for them as much as I do photoshop elements

Looks like a pretty tranquil spot that doesn't need a whole lot of tampering with.

Howdy my friend, wow, that looks like WAY OUT in the country! Very pretty scenery, and great for a nice drive. Love what you did with your pictures, fun!! I can barely even make a collage and you do such beautiful ones!

I love nature, too. Nothing like a farm to provide some good shots. I use Picmonkey and I find it very user friendly. Thanks for linking up.

Well it sounds like you had fun with it ! I can’t see the photos right now but I am given an audio description, it’s not as good but it’s the way it has to be right now, I’m just happy to visit you!

All I do with my photos is crop them to bring the images closer. Not talented at all with photoshopping. You had fun though!! I love seeing the cattle in the pastures with the big blue Florida sky above!! Beautiful!

you know how much I love cows... thanks for that pic. I have so little ability with photo editing. I kind of get by each time but I have not learned to do what you're doing. LeeAnna

Beautiful scenes! Fun with the camera!
I have ACDSee on my computer, and the most often used tool on there is adjusting the exposure. I set my camera on automatic exposure, and sometimes it needs to be changed when I see the photos on my computer. And most of the photos I post have been cropped.
Have a wonderful weekend!

first...it is nice that you have the best of both worlds where you live in florida, i feel that way about where i live in new jersey. i am 10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the country!! coming out of my neighborhood, it's either a right or a left!!!

beautiful captures, i don't edit my pictures, ever...so i do not have an editing program. the only thing i do occasionally is crop pictures, that is right on my computer, i use a mac, it's automatically available. i don't know anything about editing!!

Hi Lavender Dreamer! Neat photos. Looks so peaceful! To answer your question ... I use Lightroom to organize the photos and Photoshop Elements for touch up. Wishing you a fine weekend! John

I see so much of my photography in yours!

I, too, used Photoscape and I love it! It does all the things I want in a program--I just like to make my photos look good, not perfect and definitely not edited into something I can't recognized!

I enjoyed that you put the little cow photo in the exact spot where it appears in the larger shot!
Great post!

I so admire your hospice work. What a blessign to see so much beauty in nature as you leave. It must heal your soul....
