Somewhere over the rainbow....

...bluebirds fly!

We had the most beautiful rainbow a few days ago.

I stood in the street in front of my house and took photo after photo.

 The colors were so bright!

And then I walked to the backyard and saw a double rainbow!

The colors were inverted. Do you see that? Spectacular!

Looking out to the West the sun was behind the clouds!

Breathtaking!

I hope you have nice weather for the holiday week ahead. Do you have special plans? Our plans are to try to stay cool!
It's Florida....it's HOT!

I’m joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

Well, Diane, it's hot here, too, only we have that dry Colorado heat with a breeze that 'll come through and help cool things a bit. I can't image the humidity that you must have. I don't think I have ever seen a double rainbow with reversed colors. I will remember to look next time. I have seen a rain bow on the western sky in early morning. It made sense because it was one those mornings that began with threats of thunderstorms. Rare to have thunderstorms in the early morning, but not impossible. Stay coo.

You are very observant to see the inverted rainbow colors. I wonder if that is always the case with a double rainbow. Very pretty captures. Our plans will be similar to yours for the holiday weekend.

As much as I loved the picture of the bluebird those rainbow pictures were awesome. What is it about a rainbow that just feels so magical? Maybe it's the thought of the pot of gold at the end...lol

OH MY GOODNESS, this is one of the prettiest rainbows I've seen. The colors are vivid, and you saw a double rainbow! What a blessing that is. And the sky is mysterious and so lovely. Diane, not sure if I mentioned to you or not, but I believe when we see a rainbow that it is a gift. Thank you for this gift of a rainbow on your blog today that was taken through your lens. Truly special and wonderful!

Diane - such a wonderful collection of photos, and double the fun with a double rainbow! It is heating up here (by Montana standards) and we hope to spend the Fourth kayaking on the lake … and then a traditional BBQ for two! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, my friend!

Absolutely gorgeous rainbow you photographed there!--I love it! So cool when they double rainbow like that too. Yep, it's hot and humid here as well. I try to stay inside during the hottest part of the day much as I can. Thank goodness for air conditioning, I don't see how people ever survived w/out it!!---but survive they did! I remember back in the old days when I was a child, hot summer nights laying in front of a big box fan trying to stay cool. Mostly the fans just blew hot air around. Still, as kids either it didn't bother us a much or I'm just so DANG OLD I don't remember how miserable it was! LOL Daddy had central air put in when I was probably about 7 or so. I remember getting our first color television too...ha ha LOL!!---it was a big deal and so exciting!
