Time for another 'lalalalala' post about the beautiful weather in Florida and how I enjoy it.
We've had just enough rain to keep things nice and green. We need to drive a short distance on this dirt road so it's better when it's not dusty!
And even when it's hot, there are places close by to see birds and wildlife without hiking.
This is the Pruitt trailhead of the Florida Trails and on a Saturday afternoon, there was no one there.
So I was able to park here and there, get out and look all around. (this is the 'lalalala' part of the experience)
I'm a dreamer so I usually look up in the clouds first!
Love that airplane high in the sky flying through the fluffy clouds.
I'll try to make a list of what I saw when I do my critters post on Saturday. It was a 'big day' with some neat sightings!
I know it's a hot week for many of us! What do you do when the weather's hot?

Pretty puffy clouds on your outing, Diane. It was so hot here yesterday I only went out to water plants and refill the hummingbird feeder. I also finished a book. We're supposed to cool down tomorrow so I'm planning to get outside and take a walk.
my favorite thing about FL is the sunshines every day. my next favorite is the bright blue and white skies... those two things give me joy. and I love places where there are trees and more trees and NO PEOPLE. you hit all the things I love.
Our temps are just in the 80s this week so that will be nice. It really will not cool down much until September. . But that is life here in NoAla.
Hot isn't a good enough word for this stifling heat here! It feels like stepping inside of an oven, for real and just sitting in there- it takes your breath away...your clothes instantly stick to your body and well...I just stay indoors. I say splurt to my weather! Longing for fall....have a blessed day.
Seeing those clouds reminds me that I don't look at them often enough. Every time I glance at the sky I am looking fir birds, and I should learn to focus on the sky itself a little more.
In answer to your question, I stay put in the AC. LOL Love your photos and there is nothing prettier than a Florida blue sky!!
We finally got a break fromt he heat today. It started cooling down last night and it's just perfect now. When the temp and humidity get way up there I hibernate in the house and attempt to stay cool.
I love the pretty photos on your drives and walks. I like to stay inside in the ac and do blog work, read a good book and cook.
I miss those kinds of clouds-that kind pile up and go up and up and up--rarely see them like that here in NY--so I loved your photos--
I did get a call today from down there--I am next on the wait list--so maybe I will be back with a month or so!!!
we had cooler temps today and it rained all day--nice gentle rain--and we needed it--wonder what we will get tomorrow???

I love your cloud and sky pictures because they are always so pretty....your skies have a beautiful shade of blue!! I showed Mr. Front Porch "bigbuck" late last night and he liked the pictures too! I love those velvet antlers!!!! Stayed inside here all day...going to go out and run a few erands now that it's sundown.
When it is hot, I do not go outside! I had a sweet card from a dear blogging buddy...thank you!
Diane - I could look at those clouds for hours and imagine all sorts of creatures there … When it's hot I like to go somewhere that I can get in the water - beach, lake, river …. And is that an adorable new header I see? Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

My boys would like the air plane photos for their bed room. They like planes. They have two model planes they built hanging in their room.

I like your la la la la posts, Diane. I'm a la la la la person, too. Someone had to honk at me this morning to get the car a moving when I daydreamed about the richly painted red and green building on the corner. I love the thick clouds that hang out after a rain.
Look at those clouds! They're so pretty, and the sky is so blue. What a nice and peaceful trail to take a walk. That first picture really got to me, cause I love roads with no traffic. I look forward to seeing all the critters you saw that day.

*to answer your question....when the weather is hot, I usually do my errands early in the morning, and I've had the ac on part of the day. : )
A beautiful blue sky and fluffy clouds... I love it! Nice photographs. I don't tolerate exceedingly hot weather very well.
Such a gorgeous day with the fluffy clouds - hope you are keeping cool. We always head to the movies to keep cool! Have fun.
