Let's Cross the Withlacoochee River!

One of the highlights of walking at Blue Run Park is reaching the big bridge and looking over to see what we can see.

There are nice overlooks all along the bridge.

And it's beautiful looking both directions.

We always see boats!

And birds...we'll save for another day! (and usually an alligator, but not this day)

 (clouds reflected in the water)

So today we'll 'focus' on the turtles, so to speak!

We saw an entire Turtle family!

Papa Turtle

and Mama with her little one!

 One more turtle over there!

And a small one over here!

It's a beautiful time of year here in Florida!

And I have so much to be thankful for this week.

What are you thankful for today?

Hello,

Pretty captures of the bridge and rivers. The sky and clouds reflecting on the river are lovely. The turtles are so cute, great sightings. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend ahead.

Oh I would have keeled over if there had been an alligator there! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Have you ever shown this bridge before? The river is very pretty and I am glad that the only green things you saw in the water were turtles.

I love your photos. And I enjoy going on these walks with you. I don't think I've ever seen a whole turtle family all in one place. Awesome! You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Such cute turtles. The baby on the mama's back is too darling! Beautiful water, too. I'm glad it's such a great climate for walking just now. I'm thankful for a warm dry house when it's pouring rain outside!

I love the turtles. A whole family and mama carrying her little one. Isn't that what we do as humans too.

I've not seen mama and baby turtles like this, so your photos are especially interesting. Turtles make me chuckle. They look so old and slow, although I've seen some swim surprisingly fast when food is being tossed out to them.

Such lovely pictures of the river, Diane. The Mama turtle crossing the water with the baby on her back is so sweet. And the Papa and Mama's shell has such a pretty design. It looks like a beautiful day for a walk. The weather looks nice.
