Before we get started!

We stood in the driveway and saw these two beautiful airplanes flying in formation overhead!

I managed to get them in my viewfinder....

and keep them there!

It was something to see!

They were perfect for mosaics!

We were leaving to go to the Pruitt Trailhead to hike when we saw them.

The trailhead is near a small airport so we see some small planes when we are there too.

And this weekend was no exception.

We even saw a small jet fly over!

It was a beautiful day....73 degrees with a nice breeze.

The Robins are here this week too!

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

So many American Robins spend the winter here it is hard to know when the first genuine migrant arrives. Won't be long before they are here, however.

Wow! Such a beautiful sight seeing all the airplanes in formation all together. I hope it wasn't too noisy for you. I hope you had a great hike!

My dad who had been a WWII pilot used to rent small planes when I was young and take me for a spin. I loved it. Looks like you had a beautiful day. xo Laura

Great shots of the planes. We have a small airstrip here in town so we get lots of small planes in and out. Lots of people here in town own planes. They have several air shows a year and it always neat to see the old planes. I just don't like it when their engines stutter! LOL!
Sweet robin!

How fun to watch the planes. Every time I see one I think of my dad. He loved flying. He owned his own small plane and would go out every Sunday when the weather was good.
Love the picture of the robin

Airplane aerobatics are so thrilling to see! You took so many good photos of them, Diane. Sometimes we hear the Air Force practicing overheard here--the jets are very loud.

I enjoyed your airplane photos -- you did a great job with them!!! We have career aviators in this family: my father and one of my sons.

You have proven to us you can photo birds and aircraft!

Great tracking those planes. I usually find them, then lose them shortly afterwards.

Great shots of the planes! I like the robin too.

Diane - right place, right time - and ideal for Mosaic Monday!

Your new header is so spring-y - Spring Fever is definitely upon me, but I think it will be a few months yet before it truly arrives to Montana.

Thanks for linking up!

Those planes remind me of seeing the Air Force planes over the Columbus Base in MS. Really amazing to see. You got some great photos.

You are such a good photographer .... good eye and steady hands, both things I lack, especially looking up at moving objects. Great photos. Exciting to see robins here ...they are so common in the Pacific Northwest, but living here where they’re rarer has given me a renewed appreciation of them!

It looks like robin was watching the air show, too. :-) Cool shots, Diane!

Pretty blue skies! I am always trying to snap the airplanes, but I rarely actually get one, ha ha LOL---by the time I snap, they are out of the view, ha ha!! Yours are great. It's warm here today, we are going for a walk. We've been gardening and hubby has planted bulbs and last night we got our indoor seeds going, can't wait to see them sprout!

Wow, you did get some great photos of those planes! I love seeing the small planes and wonder if they see me looking up at them! I noticed the robins Sunday morning at our church. Haven't seen any here at the house yet, but I expect they will be back. They always come on their way down south and then again on their way back up north. Fun to watch them as they usually come in huge flocks! Have a blessed and beautiful day.

Blue skies and 75 degrees! Still snow on the ground here and so cold. Great photos of the airplanes.

The pilots are so skilled to fly in close formation and your photos captured them, well done.

Being former military we used to love it when the air shows happened once a year. I went to one in Germany when I lived there, so cool to watch the fancy moves and get an up close look at all the planes. Great shots.
