"Happy Valentine's Day"

Isn't it nice to have a special day to tell someone you love them? Well, I say it every day and you probably do too but I like this sweet holiday anyway!

Doesn't it bring back memories of taking little Valentines to school and sharing them with friends. We took a shoe box to bring home our Valentines. And everyone took part. I always loved the pretty card the teacher gave us. And we had a Valentine cookie and a little cup of sugary fruit juice.

It's fun to decorate just a little....

and enjoy this month!

I hope you are having a good week. The weather here in Florida is like summertime!

Hubby even grilled bacon and we made BLTs. We also have fresh Florida strawberries in season and I've been putting slices on my oatmeal and making hubby strawberry milkshakes...with love.

Have a beautiful day!

Will you be my Valentine?

Those sweet Valentines and the doll brought back so many memories. I always made my Valentines, and cut apart bits of the ones I received the year before...glued and pasted my little heart out every year...and it was so much fun, because every one was different!

Such a sweet post, thanks for the memories! Sandi

We were just talking about Valentines day at work. We were saying how fun it used to be to have the parties at school and the decorated boxes we made.
Your BLT looks delicious.

Yes I will! What a cute Valentine post, Diane. I remember the Valentines that we gave out at school, and we used to use the paper bags and decorated them. I chuckled when you mentioned the shoe boxes. Your little Valentine area is so cute - love that cart and mailbox and sweet doll. And the vintage Valentines are delightful. Your BLT and strawberry milkshakes sound delicious. Hope you have a beautiful Valentine's Day, dear friend. : )

Oh I LOVE your Valentine's mailbox and your sweet doll all ready for Valentine's Day. I also love remembering how Valentine's day was when we were kids, with the shoe box for our little cards at school. That was always such fun. "Those were the days, my friend...we thought they'd never end!!"
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Decorated shoe boxes and those silly little valentines were always so much fun in grade school. I love your vinette with the doll and mailbox. I need to get to the farmer's market for more strawberries. So good this time of year. The Strawberry Festival starts in a week or so. We haven't been in years. It is so crowded and too far from parking to the festival - then more walking. Maybe next year with both knees done!!
