Let's 'Do the Blue'!

Yes, I know we've been there before but you see something different every time you go!

You always see neat boats when you look off the bridge!

But then LOOK AGAIN!

A flock of White Ibis is coming this way!

(in the center of the photo, in the tree line)

And I don't care how bright the sun is....

swing that camera around and try to keep up!

OK....we're officially blinded now! heehee!

I cropped one to get close up!

But there are still beautiful views to enjoy at Blue Run Park!

Have you had a chance to get outside and walk this week?

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’

I have not been walking outside this week due to the rain and the yucky weather. I am so longing for spring. Your beautiful pictures are a tonic for me this morning.

Seeing that flock of White Ibis would certainly start my day off well.

that last photo makes me feel GOOD, really GOOD.. so beautiful. I think Ibis look there best from below, they are kind of ugly on the ground. once we had 2 dozen sitting in our pine tree in the back yard. I had never seen them in a tree, always on the ground or in the air. they were really loud

Diane, Any walking we do around here, we walk like our shoes are tied together. LOL. Baby cautious steps. Everything is slick. Some rain coming in tomorrow, hopefully it will melt some of the icy walks. I love seeing all the pretty hikes you get to take. The sky reflection in the water is wonderful. Do the ibis make sounds like the geese do when in flight? Blessings for a great weekend of hikes. xoxo, love, Susie

You are just so lucky to be able to take nice walks and see such beauty. I love the water, the sky, and the boats and the birds. I usually get out once a day to walk my dog and a few times a week I walk 15 minutes to and from my gym. Walking is such great exercise and I am always moving just like you! Enjoy the weekend Diane.

That was great! You are quick to get those in the air shots before they fly over. Do you use just your phone camera, or do you have another camera with a zoom lens? My "real camera" with the zoom is so slow between shots that I miss a lot of birds flying over. Love these photos. Thank you for sharing them. Beautiful day today.

That must be a glorious sight! No, I did not get out to walk this week. Too much snow and ice.

A beautiful spot, and lovely birds, they are.

The only walking outside I do is from the house to the car. It's too cold.
That's a beautiful park

Beautiful birds. Great shots. I walked a bit outside today when I went down to take care of the chickens and wandered around a bit.

Beautiful photos my friend. Yes, I went for a snowshoe hike today 2.5 miles in the woods. We had to break some new trail. It was a lovely sunshine winter day with the temperature at 22 degrees.

I didn't get out to walk much this past week because of the rain. You have a pretty park and the white ibis are neat to see.

We rarely see the Ibis flying. Very majestic in the air! Someday I will be able to take a walk again. Someday.

Such beautiful birds in flight. I love the way the ibis' white glints in the sunshine. I have walked in the darkness twice this week, with my husband, since the rest of the time it's been pouring buckets. Today was sunny, so I worked in the very muddy garden for an hour. So lovely.

Winter has returned to Connecticut - so the raw wet cold is in the air again. I have retreated to the treadmill indoors, but at least I am getting that exercise. I'd much prefer to walk outdoors. Your hiking grounds are so nice....

I walked Monday when the weather was beautiful and then a little today when the sun finally reappeared. We are in for another four days of rain, so I will have to wait until the end of the week to get out again. xo Laura

Haven't done much walking, it won't stop raining! We did get out and drive around in a snowstorm - guess it counts.
