Let's drive over to Citrus County for another hike!

I wanted to share more of the photos I took at Johnson Pond trail a few days ago.

A pond really makes a pretty setting for birds, flowers and plants.

Great Blue Heron

And even though it is winter and we've had some cold temps, it's still beautiful.

We even spotted a pretty little white flower on the trail.

I'd like to go back when there are clouds in the sky that will put some pretty reflections in the water.

This trail is not far but we have to drive past 3 of our MOST favorite trails to get there. It sure is hard to keep driving to go somewhere else!

But we are going to strive to discover some new things on our hikes this year so this was a good start! The lily pads sure make pretty mosaics!

I saw this....

and turned it into this for Mosaic Monday!

And even if you can't get out for a long hike, it's always fun to grab your camera and go for a drive!

This is a lily pad but doesn't it look like a duck? Kinda?

What's new with you this week?

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio,

You always capture the beauty of the land around you in your hikes, Diane. Thanks for letting us come along virtually. We woke up to snow this morning Sidewalks and roads are lean but it is so pretty falling to the ground. Thank God for nature and how it calms us!!

There is so much beautiful nature to enjoy along these trails and preserves, Diane. I loved all your photo collages. The boxes reminded me of an MC Escher artwork.

How is that trail pronounced? 😊

Stunning photos, clear colors, today!

Howdy girlfriend, I love seeing your Florida trails! Love the lily pad pictures, so pretty. Did y'all hike this weekend? It was gray and gloomy here today, maybe tomorrow will be sunny and better. Hope your week has started off great. After getting the Christmas decorations taken down and put away, I've been lazy..and reading alot. How bout you?

Oh, those lily pads are gorgeous especially the way you “arranged” them ! You are blessed with an abundance of wonderful trails and parks. (And of course weather that lets you enjoy them ..in January! (Not that I’m envious or missing Florida or anything ))))!)

The name “Citrus County” made me feel excited. I imagine groves of citrus trees and citrus aroma in the air. I love the patterns and colors made by withered, weathered lily pads. #5 mosaic is so nice. My favorite photo is #3, the beauty of bare trees with light and shadow. What’s new? I woke up to see the falling and dusting of snow, for the first time this season. Have happy days ahead.

Diane - every ecosystem has its "beauties", and I am always so amazed by your herons. Gorgeous!!! And while we have snow blanketing every plant for miles, you show us lilypads ... love it!!! Thanks for sharing your hikes with everyone at Mosaic Monday.

Oh yes, you did capture some great photos of birds and lily pads and the beautiful cypress trees...and the reflections are wonderful. You did a great job with your mosaics. I don't know how to do that. What photo program do you use?
Enjoy your hikes! We just took our walk of the day. It's kind of a cloudy day today, but not terribly cold.

Yes, that lily pad does kind of look like a much, especially with a good imagination!

Yesterday I parked my car in the area of the W-lot that you prefer. You're right. It's easier to get in and out.

Oh, that little white flower is sweet. And what a wonderful picture of the White Egret in motion. Now, I am wondering what that stepping stone is all about. You are off to a good start in the new year with your hikes, Diane. Such a healthy way of living, my friend.
