The Florida Trails, Turkeys, a Titmouse

Sometimes I come home from a hike and say I didn't see much.

But of course that's not true.

And I'm glad I take lots of photos to prove it!

We often hike parts of the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway

and if you look in every direction

you're sure to see amazing sights everywhere!

Tufted Titmouse

And a pair of lovey dovey turkeys!

I'm happy for a new week to start. How about you?

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio,

AND my Monday post HERE.

when I saw the first photo of the turkeys I thought how interesitng, she saw 'love turkeys' instead of love birds. there is never a time to see nothing in the woods .. but then you know that. I love trees and pathways

You always do find interesting sights on your hikes. The turkeys appear to be getting ready for Valentine's Day. I went on a short hike yesterday and didn't see anything near as interesting, but it was so nice to get out in nature.
Hope your week is a good one, Diane.

You always have some great shots to share. We see turkeys from afar. There was a mass migration of them across a field one day when we were returning from shopping. Too far to get a photo but quite a sight to see. Loved your up close and personal photo of those two.

There's always so much to see here. As I've said before, you are showing me a Florida I had no idea even existed. I knew about the Everglades, of course, and some of the lakes, and the beautiful beaches. What I didn't know about are the man made trails through all these beautiful parks. They look safe and well maintained and still have a lot of wildlife to enjoy. People are not scaring the wild critters away, which is such a good thing.

Aww, we have a lot of wild turkeys here too but I’ve never seen them posing fir a Valentine card before )). You do always see the beauty ... and better yet (especially for us) you get good pictures of it! Thanks for sharing.

There is always so much to see, but we are so often in a hurry or we are looking for the big things that we miss the small wonderful things. xo Laura

You should print that turkey card as a valentine -- "Happy Valentine's Day!" You could play off puns like "turkey in the straw" ... OK, it's a slow day! But I'm serious about the card!

While it's been a little too cold for about a week, I must admit I miss the warmth and sunshine you have nearly all the time...jp

Those are some great photos, especially the turkey couple. That is so neat! I see some "sparkleberries" too...at least I think that is what they are. We had some on our road in Salt Springs and they looked so pretty in the spring when they blossomed. I love the little Titmouse. They are cute. There are a lot of those around right now, with the Chickadees. Today was a lovely day for a hike!

Diane - whether we see a lot or a little depends on what we are looking for! I sometimes feel disappointed if I don't see many birds, but then I try to change my perspective and look for something else! You have captured this notion perfectly in this post! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Those lovey dovey turkeys are both males, so they are no doubt representative of a new liberalism!

I always enjoy seeing your walks and and all of the interesting animals along the way. Love those lovey dovey turkeys! You captured them at such a sweet moment. Your pictures are all so wonderful!

We had icy rain yesterday and oh my, it was a struggle to walk across our sidewalk and brick covered driveway, which was a nice sheet of ice. Your Florida weather sounds lovely!

Blessings to you! Net

I always enjoy your hiking photos!
As David pointed out both Turkeys are males (only the males have "beards"), so I would say they are having a staring contest, each daring the other one to back down!
Have a blessed day!

Diane, those turkeys look like they are whispering. Perhaps conspiring... on how to survive the next Thanksgiving!
