Spring is in the AIR!!!

I probably should start this post with AHHHCHOOO!
Yes we have pollen everywhere!

But the birds are singing and the wildflowers are blooming!

So how can I complain?

I tried to ID a few of the wildflowers that are blooming right now.

I have a new Florida Wildflower book by C, Ritchie Bell and Bryan J. Taylor so that really helps!

Alligator Weed + alligator shaped root = 2 baby alligators?

And if the birds and wildflowers aren't enough to make you smile (and you missed my last post), I hiked the Florida trails with my youngest son a few days ago!

Believe me...I am STILL smiling!

I made this button for my sidebar! 42 hikes so far this year!

Have you had signs of Spring where you live?

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio,

AND my Monday post HERE.

Hike ON! love the pics of the two of you and for some reason my favorite photo today is the kayak... love it. the berry vine and the woodsorrel and another weed has taken over the yards in our neighborhood. when we walk we are breathing pollen, the oak trees have slowed down to a trickle but now the pine trees are raining yellow... achooooo is what we do when out doors and sometimes indoors too

My daughter has snow drops up in her garden bed. She planted some bulbs in our garden before we moved in but no sign of them yet. Sugar maples are producing sap which family is tapping and boiling. That's a sign of spring here in NH.

Oh I love the pictures. So glad you enjoyed your hike with your son. Girl, I am really in need of this pollen to leave. My poor husband is suffering. Seems the pollen gets worse every year. Have a great week and keep on hiking. You amaze me. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

How wonderful that your son joined you for your hike. The photo of the person in the kayak put chill bumps all over me. I love kayaking but not in water where there could be alligators swimming by or coming up under the boat.

I love iris and your little blue flag iris is so pretty. I found wearing a mask for the pandemic helps my pollen allergies. That means I am wearing a mask in my front yard too.

So happy to see you hiking with you son. I'm also happy to see your Florida. You have changed at least one person's mind about your state. The trails they have laid out for people are just fabulous.

Bless you! (We have allergies here too his time of year , so I’m used to saying that.). Super hike, I love the wild flowers . And how cool your son is visiting.

Beautiful pictures! Even of the scary baby gators.

Love seeing you and your son!
I'm grateful my allergies are not near what they were when I was younger. I seemed to have 'grown out' of most of them.
Pollen is a good word here. We see pollen on our honeybees and smile. The nectar should be flowing soon.
All such beautiful pictures - as always!
Like Sandra, I love that blue kayak!

Rainbow River---so lovely. Love your mosaics. So cool to have a wildflower book. Always makes me feel closer to nature when I know the names of the plants.

Love those beautiful photos...I enjoy seeing the different wildflowers that are starting to bloom everywhere now. They are so pretty. They are my favorite flowers because they grow without any care from humans...God takes care of them and they come back year after year! I could do without the stinging nettles, however...they are right at ankle height and you have to be SO careful now to brush against them! I am noticing a LOT of them this spring already where we walk, so I am being extra careful! Love the alligators and the kayak and the birds too...and especially the pictures of you and your son hiking. That was was wonderful!!! I know you were so happy. I hope you can do that more often! Does he live far?

Yikes on the baby alligators. Spring is full on here and any day now we will get the dreaded yellow pollen covering everything. My itch eyes and nose says it is coming soon. xo Laura

I'll bet the hike with your son provided a smile on your face for days! I know it would me too. :) Yes, spring is all around us here in northern-most Indiana and has been for over 3 weeks now. Lots of people think spring means the lack of snow and reality is quite opposite. Signs of spring are all around, even while the snow falls. ~Andrea xoxo

It's already summer at the side of my world, and it's really wonderful to see nature flourish there as we get close to 100 F. Great exploring of birds and wilderness from your hike, and you have nailed it with your photography. Thanks for your visit.

That alligator shaped root is something else! Looks just like an alligator! It's wonderful that you got to hike with your youngest son. A mother and son's relationship is so special, and they often make us laugh. No Spring here yet, but the sun is shining today and the snow has melted. It will come in its own time. This is a special photo of you and your son, Diane.
