Just for fun!

The cloud formations have been beautiful this week.

What do you see?

I'll leave my scary banner up one more day to explain how it is really a collage, or mosaic!

"You are in Bear Country"

It started with a sign at the 49th Ave Trailhead, that cautions hikers of the bear activity in the area. And yes, several people have stopped to tell us they saw a bear. But we haven't seen one....yet!

I took that sign and put a cropped photo of a tree on each side to create a collage. And then put the 'BOO' on it. Were you scared? Just a little? Tell the truth now! Which would scare you most, a bear or an alligator? We see alligators pretty often so I think a bear sighting would scare me more!

And I got some new Wet cloths this week. They have a good sale going on and they even sent me a free one. The link is HERE.

It looks like a little mosaic, doesn't it?

I also ordered some beautiful cards with original art from an Etsy shop HERE.

And I decided to cut some paper and sew it into one of them to create a journal.

This is my favorite so I'll just have the bunny I made a long time ago, hold it for me!

Do you love Etsy shopping too?

Do you have some favorites this week to share?

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays and

I like Thursdays HERE too!

I think the cloud is a screaming ghost. In fact, he was screaming so loud he tipped over and did a face plank. Something really scared him. Now the question is was it an alligator or a big bad bear?
Great job on your header. Perfect for the Halloween season.
The cards you ordered from Etsy are so pretty. There is so much talent to be found there. I have ordered a few things, but try not to spend too much time there as it can be very tempting.

I don't like an alligator or a bear, but I have gotten accustomed to seeing alligators in Florida- Bears on the other hand would terrify me . Don't want to see one of them in the wild.Love your pastel looking cards that you order. have a great week.

I think your home made journals are a wonderful idea. I think the alligator might scare me. If a bear showed up, we'd find out how fast I could run. hahaha. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.

I’ve never heard of those wet cloths before! My Amber has an Etsy shop and I’ve toyed with the idea. I don’t really shop online much. Amazon, of course. My favorite way to shop is to go with Amber! And of course I do my thrift store treasure hunting!
No bears OR alligators for me, please!

Haha, no, I wasn't afraid of the bear picture :-DD But a real bear in the wild would of course be scary for me (a real alligator too!)
When we were in Sequoia National Park in 2012, our car had to stop at a construction site and we were told it would take an hour. I had to go to the toilet urgently, but there weren't any at the construction site - so I went into the forest. I didn't even think about meeting a bear there - but later I found out that other people had seen a bear with her cub very close by! That could have been dangerous. If you want to know which animals I actually saw after my "toilet visit", you can visit my old post: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2012/12/usa-5-tag-sequoia-nationalpark. html (It was a VERY surprising and unusual encounter!)

When we lived in Salt Springs we saw bears on a regular basis, as they walked through our yard almost every night. Our night cam got some great pictures, and I did get some good daytime pictures too, from a distance, thankfully. Had one almost too close of an encounter one day when walking, but he decided I wasn't worth the trouble to come and eat, especially the way I was yelling at him to go back into the woods and clapping my hands rather fiercely. I rather miss seeing them since we moved away, and yes, I prefer bears to alligators any day. A bear will usually turn and run away unless you corner him or get near her cubs. But an alligator can be very aggressive if you happen upon him at the wrong time or place. I'll take my chances with the bear. We usually carried a "bear whistle" with us when walking in the woods. You might want to get one. Loved your pictures and those cards are so pretty!! I don't do much with etsy...I just have too much stuff already that I don't know what to do with and I fear I would be in deep do do if I started doing that too. LOL. But I enjoy looking!! Thank you for your kind comments on my posts. I'm still trying to get caught up. Getting stronger every day. Praise God.

I have seen a Momma bear and her cubs from a ‘safe’ distance.
It was difficult not to run though. Thankfully she was busy eating blueberries.
Lovely cards—love the muted colours.

Diane - A bear would definitely frighten me more than an alligator, unless I was in the water with the alligator. My shopping on Etsy is limited to cross-stitch patterns that I can download - if I let myself wander from that, it could be dangerous! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

I was introduced to Etsy when my daughter was making handmade items and selling it on there. No more of that. I have found some great items there and have never been disappointed.

The bear didn't scare me but I wouldn't want to meet up with one.

Ann said...

Hmm, bear or alligator? I think I would be equally afraid of seeing either.
I have only purchased once or twice from Etsy.

Lorrie said...

I would like to see both bears and alligators from a safe distance. I would be more frightened of an alligator, I think, because we have run across bears on our hiking trails here.

The wet cloths are very pretty, as are the cards you got from Etsy. I haven't shopped from there recently, but am looking there for some Christmas presents.

Happy November wishes.

I think the cloud looks like a fat fish eating a donut hole! That bear did scare me. I'm terrified of them. Don't even want a teddy bear!

HappyK said...

I'm the opposite of you. I've seen bears and they just run away so they don't scare me, but we don't have alligators and they would scare me. :) Guess it is just what we get used to.

I've never bought anything on Etsy.
I just saw a pretty puffy white cloud in the sky. :)

Our blue skies and fluffy clouds are always beautiful! I would be thrilled to see a bear or a gator - but totally respect them and their space! It would surely cause an adrenalin rush!! I love your bear mosaic and other photos, always! xo

I haven't bought anything on Etsy, but my daughter bought me a nice calendar there.

Hello,
Love the sky and cloud photo. I have seen and love the bears, they usually run away quickly. The gators scare me, especially when I heard them growling.
The wet cloths are nice, the patterns are cute. Your cards are pretty. Take care, enjoy your day!

If either a bear or an alligator decided to attack you the end result would be pretty much the same!

Hmmmm, looks like either a ghost chasing someone to eat them or a laughing horse head. lol Bear or alligator? I don't know. Both would scare me!

Bear vs alligator is a difficult choice. I think bear. Both can out run me, as far as I know. :)
Lovely towels and cards

Love the cards you bought. I have ordered several things off of Etsy and have been pleased. That cloud formation is a ghost and he wants to eat someone! LOL! I have seen bears from a distance and pray that's the way it will stay! I don't like looking at gators PERIOD! Or snakes, or rats. But, where I live in the country, there is no telling what one may see. One morning I was standing at my kitchen sink looking out the window and saw a peacock. GIRL, I thought I was seeing things!!! To come to find out a family member had just bought a pair several days before my sighting and they had gotten out the gate! Never a dull moment in the country! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Oh bear country! That must have been interesting going on that trail. But I think the alligators would scare me more. I live in the woods, so I guess you could call it bear country. My neighbor saw one near our house one time before I moved in. That is a cool bear photo you worked on. Those wet cloths are delightful. And I love those cards. They are so enchanting. I'll have to check out the etsy shop.

ps.....that is the prettiest Header photo. The flowers look like lavender, and it's perfect for you. : )

You tricked me! I don't want to see bears and I definitely don't want to see alligators. I dislike any kind of shopping these days.

Sweet, helpful bunny you have there.

Pretty pretty sky!! Well you know I just love pretty much ANYTHING YOU POST, because it's all pretty and/or interesting!! This time of year is so so so enjoyable to be out and about....the heat and humidity has ceased and I hope it LASTS. I dread the dreaded "time change" tho, I hate it. Those cards you got are real pretty! Bears or gators (oh MY!! lol)----WELL THEY ARE BOTH pretty scary, ha ha. LOL Just like y'all in Florida, we see gators pretty much daily here, bears not so much. Bears can be incredibly scary as they do that thing where they STAND UP ON their hind legs and get big and tall, ha ha!! LOL

Etsy, oh goodness, love looking and shopping on there. The cards are really pretty. I also love the bunny you made.

I see a feather! Bears are around here, so seeing an alligator would scare me more! Etsy has some awesome stuff!

The cloud does look like a ghost! Not sure I would like to run into either one of those scary things - a bear or an alligator. I did actually come face to face with a huge bear here on my property once and my two dogs convinced him to go the other way. Don't know what I would do if they weren't there. Love those sweet cards and your little bun-bun. I can't tempt myself on Etsy! Too many cute things! x K

I would certainly be scared if I saw a bear on a trail. From a distance or while I am close by my car would be just perfect!
