“Wednesday Wee Ones” My Angels

Most of the dolls I have are vinyl…they are so much more life like. But I have three of the most beautiful Doll Maker dolls. The “Doll maker” is Linda Rick and you can visit her website HERE ! The outfits these dolls come in are exquisite and Linda Rick designs them all herself! She pays attention to every detail!

Thoughts for Tuesday

Thank you to everyone that greeted me on Mosaic Monday. What a fun event! I love making the collages and seeing the  photography of all those who join. I was number 101 when I linked to Mary’s Mosaic Monday HERE. I wanted to take part in something beautiful.

I am going through a ‘rough patch’, partly because I’ve had my feelings hurt by a family member and mostly because I’ve been so tired since we made the trip to NC. WHEW…I don’t usually say that much! And because I am so very blessed, I don’t feel like I should ever have ‘rough patches’! And especially right now when I have company coming that I look forward to ALL year!

This morning, one of the sweet ladies from Mosaic Monday wrote me an email to welcome me and she ended it with a quote. I’m sure she didn’t realize how much it would mean to me. I am quoting this in it’s entirety.  I hope it inspires you as much as it did me!

The gloom of the world is but a shadow.

PS I am NOT reading the book I recommended by Sharyn McCrumb,The Devil Amongst the Lawyers. I started it and felt it was too dark and depressing to read right now! lol ( I may check it out again some other time! I do love this author!)  Any suggestions for something HAPPY..a fun summertime book?

Well….we are not having a party at the condo yet… but that doesn’t mean we can’t GO to all the other parties!

And for some of my weekend fun….I went shopping at LuLu’s and to the library. It’s always fun to visit your favorite ‘haunts’ when you get back to town! (a new apple scented Yankee candle)

I think I will take it to Florida to put in my kitchen! But I’ll enjoy it here for the summer! It’s hand painted….

And I started to crochet a handbag but decided I did not really have the yarn I needed for the project (or the patience to work on it).

 

So I bought a new SAK bag!

Don’t you love it? It’s just what I wanted!

And books from the library…

Love this decorating book….(that looks like my new blue robe hanging on the hook! heehee)

 

I’ve already started this new novel. I have read almost everything that Sharyn McCrumb has written!

If you have not read She Walks these Hills…GO NOW and get this book! It’s her best!

Do you want to hear something OUTRAGEOUS?

My husband likes to shop…..and he has good taste! I know that’s outrageous….and I know how lucky I am!

I’ve raised 4 sons and of course they all have great taste…but do they like to shop? hhhmmmm…I don’t think so! So I know how unusual this is!

So to jump right to the latest shopping spree….

When we got up this morning, he said, “let’s go to the mall today and see what’s new!”

I really needed a new summer robe so I was pleased to find this pretty blue robe. (the background is pale blue)

He looked around and found one he liked even better

and said ‘Get them both’! 

I love this man!

And then we went to Bath and Body Works!

I think I will stop bragging now and go give him another hug! I hope you’re having a good day, too!

“Wednesday Wee Ones” Adara Lina

Greetings from the mountains of North Carolina!

We’ve traveled back to the mountains to enjoy the summer months!

We went ‘that a way’!

I’m taking photos from the balcony again! heehee!

And now……introducing….

 

the lovely Adara Lina.

She is a reborn baby that a lady in New York made for me.

 

My sister crocheted this beautiful outfit for her and now I don’t ever want to redress her.

She looked so pretty when I took these photos of her at our house when the marigolds were blooming.

But now she lives in the condo….in our master bedroom.

She’s in the corner that you can’t see!

Summer begins TODAY!

I love Mondays…I love June…and I REALLY LOVE SUMMER! It’s my favorite time of the year!

I’ve been off the computer for a few days so now I have the fun of visiting all of my favorite blogs and those that are participating in Where Women Create to find some new favorites! I always enjoy getting back online and catching up with all of YOUR fun!

We’ve been taking advantage of the beautiful weather to go on little day trips…we call them adventures!

This was one of our best sitings….a huge Great Blue Heron.

 

He posed and I just kept taking photos! heehee!

We drove out to the Gulf coast to eat fresh Grouper and hushpuppies and to view some wildlife.  (we did NOT eat one of these! lol)

This was the first time to visit the Crystal River Archaeological State Park  and it was very interesting. Follow this link for more info at Wikipedia !

We enjoyed the museum and when I looked at my photos…

I realized I took a lot of the beads…

pendants….

and pottery!

The things that I love!

We even ‘heard’ an alligator in this swampy area but I was glad we didn’t actually SEE him! He was crunching and munching on a meal of oysters!

The view was fabulous from the top of this Indian mound

and there were lots of boats on the water!
