Crafting with 'limited' supplies!

The best gift I ever received from Santa Claus was a shoebox. I was about 7 years old and the box was covered in Christmas paper and filled with craft supplies! A new box of crayons, colored pencils, scissors, craft paper, a ruler and cut outs to glue into a little tablet. I still love having my art bag with an assortment of crafting tools and I love to find new Christmas coloring books!

But of course when you get ready to do a craft project, you never have exactly what you need! Does this happen to you?

I printed the beautiful robin from Diane Knott's Musings

and cut out my card stock...but low and behold...NO brown paper!

So my robin is more of a "Christmas bird"....

one that you won't see in the feeders!

And this one is some kind of crazy blue bird!

But they were great fun to make and I want to thank Diane for giving us the pattern as a gift!

I found a few cute things at the Thrift store last week to share....

I can't resist these cute little "Made in Taiwan" ornaments...

and don't they look cute around my  little tree in the lanai!
