“Once Upon a Time”....Mosaic Monday!

Oh how I LOVE to find vintage childrens books!

I experimented with PICNIK to make this mosaic.

What do you think?

I found a few at my favorite thrift store this week!

I was SO excited!

It’s a Christian Thrift Store and they charge 10 cents each.....

When I saw your vintage book finds, I started to miss my books. I was regretful for not preserving them. I never realize that when I grow up, I will also appreciate them.

The jar is a nice idea by the way.

Happy Monday also to you! :)

I think it's clever and what a title "The Enchanted Schoolhouse"... makes me want to read it. Bet you'll be visiting there again.

How fun...I've seen many books like those in my mother in law's basement. We've laughed that we could get the Antiques Roadshow to her house for a month and they wouldn't make much of a dent. Lovely mosaic!

This makes me wish I had kept all of my childhood books! Little Black, A Pony, sure looks familiar. I must have read that many years ago. Your fairy jar is cute! What a neat way to display old (or new) photos!

The black and white illustrations in your mosaic are so lovely, and evocative of the books I read as a child. I have only a few of my own books from the past, but I kept many of my own children's.

I like the mosaic and of course anything to do with books, though none of these titles are familiar to me here in Europe.

Isn't Picnik fun?! And the illustrations in the old children's book can't be beat!

I haven't tried to use Picnik to make a mosaic as yet, Diane Yours looks fantastic! I also enjoy finding vintage children's books at thrift stores. Their illustrations are usually so sentimental and beautiful.

Wishing you a belated happy Anniversary!

As a former pre-school teacher, I love children's books, but don't have too many old ones. I do have some of my books that I had as a child. I will have to be on the lookout for some while I am thrifting. Loved your mosaic. I have never done one. I'll have to check into Picnik and give it a try. Have a great week. Love & blessings from NC!
