Oh how I LOVE to find vintage childrens books!
I experimented with PICNIK to make this mosaic.
What do you think?
I found a few at my favorite thrift store this week!
I was SO excited!
It’s a Christian Thrift Store and they charge 10 cents each.....
and they didn’t charge for this one!
What joy!!!
Did you know that my sister and I are fairies?
I’m joining Mary at the Dear Little Red house
for Mosaic Monday!
Have a joyful Monday!

I LOVE vintage childrens books also. I love your mosaic board.
You know I am loving your mosaic! Mine is book related this week, too, LOL (Irish writers who ROCK)....*giggles* I love old books.... *le sigh*
You found such precious children's books!!! Your mosaic is great...good job with Picnik!!!
What a cute little fairy jar. Loved the vintage books too and that mosaic was really original.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, vintage books and you are a lovely fairy in that jar~! ;-)
When I saw your vintage book finds, I started to miss my books. I was regretful for not preserving them. I never realize that when I grow up, I will also appreciate them.
The jar is a nice idea by the way.
Happy Monday also to you! :)
Hope you have a wonderful Monday too Diane. I love your vintage books, they really make for cute vignettes. XO
I think it's clever and what a title "The Enchanted Schoolhouse"... makes me want to read it. Bet you'll be visiting there again.
Love your vintage books, and they make an awesome mosaic! you and your sister make very cute fairies :)
What wonderful treasures you found! The vintage pictures are exciting! Good for you! Cathy
How fun...I've seen many books like those in my mother in law's basement. We've laughed that we could get the Antiques Roadshow to her house for a month and they wouldn't make much of a dent. Lovely mosaic!
i love books, but there is just something extra special about children's vintage....wonderful mosaic!
Oh, I love children's books too!!! These look wonderful and what finds they are!!!
XO
What great finds, I love the old vintage childrens books. Have a wonderful week!
I love your mosaics. Picnik is one of my favorites. I just have to plan time to upload the pictures!
The books are wonderful and you and your sister are adorable fairies!
Have a great week!

This makes me wish I had kept all of my childhood books! Little Black, A Pony, sure looks familiar. I must have read that many years ago. Your fairy jar is cute! What a neat way to display old (or new) photos!
Great finds. I think I may have one of those books downstairs in a box. V
I love your mosaic and I dearly love me some lavender, it's my favorite scent! Have a great week!

The black and white illustrations in your mosaic are so lovely, and evocative of the books I read as a child. I have only a few of my own books from the past, but I kept many of my own children's.
Must be so nice to be fairies, no worries. Love the vintage book mosaic, great finds. Have wonderful week.
I like the mosaic and of course anything to do with books, though none of these titles are familiar to me here in Europe.
Thank you for the birthday wishes. I love all the vintage books you found and the jar with your pictures in it is too cute!
Isn't Picnik fun?! And the illustrations in the old children's book can't be beat!
I haven't tried to use Picnik to make a mosaic as yet, Diane Yours looks fantastic! I also enjoy finding vintage children's books at thrift stores. Their illustrations are usually so sentimental and beautiful.
Wishing you a belated happy Anniversary!
As a former pre-school teacher, I love children's books, but don't have too many old ones. I do have some of my books that I had as a child. I will have to be on the lookout for some while I am thrifting. Loved your mosaic. I have never done one. I'll have to check into Picnik and give it a try. Have a great week. Love & blessings from NC!
You are entered into my drawing my friend! Thanks for stopping by!
I love children's books...some are sooo old they are falling apart! :(
