Hey Diane! I've been away from blogging for a little while, but now I'm back! :o) Your home is so lovely, and your treasures from the sea just make it even more so. I love glass floats, too. I used to have one that a friend sent me from Alaska - it came off of a Russian fishing boat, but sadly it's gone missing after all these years. It was so lovely, too! Now that I know you are collecting them, I'll be on the lookout for you when I'm out on my antiquing/junking adventures!

XOXO,

Cyndi

It is fun to decorate with the things that are available locally. Your shells and glass are delightful. We never find shells such as these on our coast.

Your lanai looks so inviting. I bet you spend lots of time there! Love that flamingo pillow!!!

definitely WOW today & I do love those floats! They look great, but I must say my favorite thing is that box with the ship on it. I'm wondering who bought it way back when & what their house looked like. Did it collect dust, or hide a hidden treasure inside.

My mother had a basket of those glass floats when I was a child. I remember holding them up to the sunlight, I haven't thought about them in years! Your treasures decorate your lanai so well...thanks for inviting us in!

The boxes are just precious, Diane!! What are you hiding in them that you're not showing us, haha!?

Floats = always awesome!

Love the glass floats and thank you so much for mentioning my blog. It makes me so happy that you were inspired from my post. Your floats are beautiful. I love the colors. Isn't is nice to imagine all the miles they have floated around the ocean and now the ended up in your lania?

They look great in there. Thanks again! XOXO Debbie

Love your decor, the lanai reminds me of my favorite aunt's former house. She is now living in Kentucky but had a lovely home in Ft Pierce, FL for many years. I miss our visits there. The floats are beautiful, I've been wanting some since I saw them on another blog a few months ago. I haven't been as fortunate as you, but I'm still looking.

Have a God Filled Day

Hi Diane,

I enjoyed my visit to your place today, thank you.
I too love shells and things that we pick up from the beach.
My Grandmother used to put shells on everything boxes, and frames etc.

Happy week

Your glass floats are a beautiful color and your sea vignettes are lovely. I like your little shell and ship boxes too. The little one you saw on my post was given to my grandmother when she was a child. Thanks for your lovely comments. I enjoyed your post.

I love love your sun room. I have been looking for a couch just like that everywhere. Be careful reading Love of the Sea. Her tropical/coastal chic is inspiring. Next you'll have a big Giga Clam on that coffee table!

Take good care,

Karen

Hi, Diane!

I have recently developed a passion for shells and have been snatching them up at Goodwill. But those glass floats are to die for! I am so jealous!!

Just one more thing to add to my wish list...

Thanks for the inspiration,

Diane

Your lanai is already lovely. But the presence of the sea decors made it more lovely and homey. I love the glass floats too. I live in a country with plenty of beaches and sea shells too. If you want I can send you additional shell decors. Just email me your mailing address. Here's my email dianewantstowrite@gmail.com.

Oh, my goodness, I LOVE all of your ocean treaures!! So pretty!
We were staying in an oceanfront home on the Oregon coast last Spring, and there was a big storm, and the following morning, my husband was looking out at the beach when he spotted something shiny. We all went out to see what it was, and it was a blue glass float!! We found four of them that day! It was amazing!
Thanks for sharing your pretties! Beth.

Thanks for sharing these photos. I still LOVE the flamingo pillow...hmmmm. Maybe I'll paint some fabric and make one for my mom's Christmas gift. She'd get a kick out of that...
Have fun in NC...(where do you stay? We have family compounds in Cashiers and near Dillsboro (Nations Creek))
