The weather has been beautiful here in Western NC this weekend! My heart goes out to everyone that has suffered from hurricane Irene!
Here are some photos taken at the NC Arboretum !
And art on display at the Baker Exhibit Center.
I am joining Mary at the dear little red house
for Mosaic Monday!
My prayers are going out for everyone along the Eastern coast of the US. Take care and stay safe! How is the weather where you live?

I almost hate to say this..but our weather is hot and windy. Not as humid as it normally is. After weathering Katrina...my prayers are with all those who have been affected by Irene..
Love your pictures!

Beautiful pictures and I so agree our prayers should be going out to all of the people that have been affected by this hurricane!

It's not often that I get to take the time to stroll through the Arboretum or art studio, but when I have, I'm always so glad I did. Those are beautiful pieces you decided to photo. We had some good winds and just a little rain from the storm. We have leaf and small limb debris to rake up this week. Irene can't leave fast eough.
Great Pictures...we are finally having summer...for a couple days!
I love arboretums and the pictures here make this one look quite special!
Gorgeous images!
Wonderful collection of art.
I just adore that first photo of the bird and leaves. Looks like my kind of place to visit.
A couple of days ago we had a tornado warning but only had high winds; much luckier than our friends on the east coast.

Thank goodness the worst is over, I hope with the storm. Nothing here in central Ky. not even any rain. Your post is beautiful. Great job.

What a beautiful place to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. The first two photos tell me I'd love love to see the rest.
I could spend hours wandering here!
Beautiful places and beautiful photos!
The weather here in Michigan has been great and I can feel fall approaching us. :)

You always have an interesting place to tell about. I should visit some of those places. You and your husband seem to enjoy life which is very good. Today the weather is dry(again) and very hot(again). I feel for those affected by the storm.
I love the fish!
Lovely images, weather here a little cooler but still 30C and sunny.
Beautiful images!!! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hi Diane,
What a great place to visit.
You can do it...you can sew a quilt if I can LOL. Moda has the sweetest fabric really soft prints. Just remember be careful with your measuring its very important to be accurate so your seams and points will line up.
I can't wait to see what you are making.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
I love the collage you made of the baker exhibit centre = wonderful designs!
You pretty much said what i could not effectively communicate. +1
