If you had been at Fletcher Park this past weekend listening
to Dashboard Blue…
you would have DANCED! The music was AWESOME!
It made me want to come home and start a new playlist on my IPOD! Lots of my favorite songs such as…’Play that Funky Music’, ‘Under the boardwalk’, ‘Brown Eyed Girl’, ‘Ain’t no Sunshine’, and Margaritaville!
Song list HERE!!!
And it was a gorgeous evening…
with lots of people enjoying their night out!
(there’s a very handsome man in this pic…can you find him?)
Even a ‘pet’ pony!
Little children are always fun to watch!
But who is this?
This is the Zumba to the Oldies group of ladies that meet right here in Fletcher every week at the Danceland ballroom! And they told me….come on…when Mustang Sally starts, come on up and dance with us!
And you know me….I DID! heehee! (I need to take lessons…obviously…I look like I am doing my ‘own’ dance!)
Do you love to dance, too? Enjoy your week!
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance…
DANCE!!!

I remember how much fun it was when we used to have Music in the park when we lived up North..miss those days..Looks like you had a good time :)
My parents had a summer place over in Bryson City. There used to be groups come in and perform on Friday and Saturday nights there too. It was more fun watching the locals whoop it up!
Looks like everyone had fun there too!~Ames
Don't you just love those concerts in the open air. When we lived in Bend, Oregon we had concerts every Saturday during the summer. I loved it. Every thing from Salsa to Ragga and oldies but goodies. Just a little something for everyone. This coming weekend we will be having a concert too at the small Wooden Boat Show down at the docks in the park.
I will try and make it and take some pics too.
