We drove up to some land we own in the mountains of NC near the Tennessee border…
and yes, we took peanut butter and jelly sandwiches…and some delicious ripe plums!
The next day I stopped at Goodwill and
found this book entitled ‘Dining Out’ by Mary Engelbreit.
Here’s what she said in the introduction….
“Want to know my favorite shortcut to making a good meal great? Just take it outdoors. Even an ordinary peanut butter and jelly sandwich seems like something special if you enjoy it with a view of a lovely tree…”
I couldn’t help but smile…
and then make a Mosaic for Mosaic Monday!
I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house!
I hope you will, too!
When was the last time you packed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and went for a picnic? Nothing else beats it! ♥

Looks like a perfect outing with PB&J! Blessings...
Your property is so peaceful and beautiful. It is the simple meals that are always best.
I enjoy PBJ - it is a great standby meal.

Isn't that funny that you had just had yourself a pb&j picnic? I think I may have to go get a giant tablespoon of peanut butter now. Lovely photos!
Love ME and have to say that things do taste better outdoors! Stunning pictures!
Now peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are not something I've ever tried. They're just not a usual sandwich here in my part of the world and I have to admit, sound a little weird! But, with views like that I'd be willing to try one! What a stunning spot!
I don't need a special occasion to have PB&J!!! I have it too often! It does make a picnic fun. Stunning photos. Looks like a lot of fun!
We always pack picnics! We had a breakfast picnic this a.m.! Nothing like homemade food, even if it is pb & J... I'm a pb & fluff girl myself!
Your property is beautiful! Have a great week!

I Love PB and blackraspberry seedless jam ..PB & Jelly sandwiches are one of my favorite things to eat anytime but never ate them outside..will have to try that when Nellie comes again and not 100 degrees out.
The scenery where you went is Beautiful..I think I might need to invest in a camera with zoom :)
Heavenly!
Hubby Loves Peanut butter sandwiches...he puts sunflower seeds on his!
It must have been a great day! Thanks for sharing!
Have a nice week,
Markus
Hi,
Thanks so much for stopping by and following my blog. I am now following you. Hubby and I vacationsed in NC 3 years ago. We loved it! It was absolutely gorgeous. I agree, everything tastes better outdoors. Even if it's in your own yard. Everything M.E. is so cherry or cheery.
What a beautiful place! I've never spent time in NC, but it's on my list....
Peanut butter and jelly and a glass of cold milk - the best!
Cute post. Makes me hungry for a PB and J ... I bet it was cool and refreshing on that mountain!
With taht kind of view? Anything would be delicious, butyoure totally right, PB&J is the best! :D
Hugs,
Hello Diane! Thank you for visiting and leaving me such a nice comment!
Such beautiful sights of North Carolina mountains, thank you for sharing!

Gorgeous view. What beautiful property. We just came back from an amazing trip in the Upper Peninsula of MI and some of our best lunches were P&J shared on the scenic turnouts. HUGS!
Love the pictures. I enjoy spending as much time as I can outdoors. We made two picnics this weekend and enjoyed the nice weather here in upstate NY.
Beautiful pictures and country. I love NC! as you know I'm from Knoxville, TN and I miss the mountains so much. It's been a while, but love PBJ's!
Mountains fascinates me,they are a beautiful gift of GOD,I love to walk between trees.
Just catching up with you today. we've been away for a couple of weeks. I LOVED seeing pictures from the land you own. WOW it must be so special to go there and picnic. It looks so beautiful and peaceful. We had 2 picnics last week when we went to London for day trips. We always find a garden or park area in which to enjoy them, it saves lots of money and time finding somewhere suitable.

Beautiful, beautiful pictures! The last time I did a PB&J picnic was when we took the boat up the Silver River. I love having a picnic on the boat. Next time we go to the beach I should take some along, too! Love them, but it's more like a treat for me.
Gode billeder.
Smuk landskab.
Tak for rundvisningen.
Well now, sometimes trees ARE the view. Very pretty country there and I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a smidge of marshmallow fluff, too.
Peanut Butter on Raisin Bread is for me. :) What lovely views!
~Judy
P&J's work for me!
We had tomato sandwiches on the deck under the rising Full Green Corn Moon...
I pack picnics all the time. I wouldn't travel without my picnic baskets....
Wonderful views you have....

Oh the pictures are just awesome. North Carolina is just gorgeous. I agree even a peanut butter sandwich would seem special eating it among all of this beauty!!
To much of a coincidence you picked up that book. Really pretty views. It's been a while since a PB&J sandwich. Makes me think of school.
Love the mountains. Everything is flat around here. Heading to the mountains this weekend.
