Well, it requires more than one post!
Our first stop was the beach....
and then we like to walk along the boardwalk.
It looks like it should be crowded but I think most everyone was enjoying the restaurants and pubs when we got there. We heard live music in several of them and most are air conditioned.
We were there to walk and enjoy the sights.
I never tire of the Gulf coast views.
I love the sunshine and scents of the sea!
I hope you enjoy seeing this part of Florida.
How about a little ‘fixer upper’?
Several of these photos are courtesy of my sweet hubby! Thanks honey for taking beautiful photos!

I'm going to have to look up where Cedar Key is. Looks like a great place!
Cedar Key looks awesome. ENjoy!
So beautiful and serene. I'm glad that you had a beautiful day there. Who wouldn't! That hubby of yours could start a photo blog...
Oh how I miss going to the Florida coast lines, up until 16 years ago I took my son every year!!
Sweet little coastal town, love the photos thank you for sharing, I miss the sights and smell of the ocean
Have a great weekend Diane

Looks like a fun place to visit. Someday, I'd like the girls to see an ocean. They love Lake MI but have never experienced a ocean.
I haven't visited here in years but it has the same feel as it did when I was there. I really miss the Gulf coast. Have a lovely weekend Diane and thanks for sharing. Hugs
I've really enjoyed these pictures. Thanks for sharing. And thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. =)
great shots -- love the beach, and this one is particularly charming.
Super fixer upper...love water pictures. What a nice vacation. I'll look for more.
{{{sifh}}}I would love to be on a beach right now! One of my favorite sounds in the world is the sound of waves crashing and sea birds in the background. Living in a mountain and desert state, one misses the salty tang of the sea air. Thank you for the lovely visit to the Gulf. =D
I definitely want to visit Cedar Key sometime. Do you think that fixer upper is for sale. :)
I love the beach and Cedar Key looks like a fun place to visit! Hugs, Linda
LOL - a fixer upper - looks more like a blower upper! Sigh. Envious of your scenery. Esp when I see mine is just my messy house, where are those left over fireworks when you need them?
Looks like a great day. Maybe you should tackle that "fixer upper". Just think of how many blog posts you could get out of that one. hee hee! Have a great weekend my friend!
How much for the fixer-upper? I might be interested!;>) Great photos- xo Diana
Been to almost every beach in Florida, east and west, still think the Gulf side is the best. Those sunsets are unreal. Now you're really making me want to sit under that umbrella. ;) Doesn't take much for me though.
Enjoy!!!
MUAH!
Marcia
You two sure do know how to have fun :). Cedar Key looks like a great place to visit.
Beautiful photos..The fixer upper? LOL!

I live about an hour away from Cedar Key! We hope to go back this fall when they have their seafood festival.
I love Florida!!! Great photos.
Now...that really is a fixer upper!!
I can't remember if we went to Cedar Key when we were down in Florida...love the board walk area.
Have a great weekend.
hugs,
Cindy
So you are on the gulf side? It sure looks pretty there. And the beaches don't seem so crowded either. Nice. Is it really hot there? Phew it is hot here. sandie
Thanks for reminding me why I love it here! We are living in paradise.
Hugs,
Patti
It all has such a relaxing feel! I love the Gulf Coast. It's our favorite place to vacation. Though our favorite spots are Naples or Panama City Beach!
Love your new blog header!
sandy ;)
WOW... I LOVE this so much! Fantastic shots that capture the scenery so well! :)
Hugs,
I love the Gulf Coast! Did you pick up any fresh seafood in Cedar Key? I always come home with something fresh off the boats :)
The Gulf is so calm compared the the Atlantic ocean side. I love going to quaint places and taking in the sights. Looks like you had a great day.~Ames
It was 105 here yesterday. Is it cooler there? I would not be out walking here in this heat! LOL! It's been low humidity but then high fire danger so I guess we can't have it all. That town is precious and such great sights! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thank you for Sharon your happy memory making. Great photos. The fixer upper made me giggle xo
I love seeing your pics of Cedar Key. Thanks for sharing the beauty.
Looks like you had so much fun, Diane!
Have a great day

OMG... when i was in college at Gainesville we used to drive over to Cedar Key a lot... one of my favorite places! We would start with screwdrivers at the old Island Hotel and then stagger down to the wharf for cheap seafood dinners... do they still serve salads with green peanut butter dressing??
Hi name mate! You know, you have been so blessed to see these beautiful places. I love the view of the waters and being served great meals on those beautiful restaurants.
Have a Beautiful Sunday name mate!
Beautiful photos indeed! Looks like a wonderful place to be.
Hugs,
Jann
That area is so beautiful. We used to have a mobile in Bradenton, and loved driving up and down the coast. Was that town with the restaurants also in Cedar Key? Reminds me of Tarpon Springs.
I never tire of seeing the beach! And love that pelican fella!
