Where did I put them all?

I’ve had fun playing with my seashells and have some craft projects planned but for now I put them, well....everywhere! (the blue starfish are ‘store boughten’ heehee)

PMDSCN4342

I went to 3 Thrift Stores and bought some ‘neat’ containers and jars to store them. And then I put a lot of them in my bathroom.

PMDSCN4343

Don’t look at my bathroom walls....imagine they are painted BLUE...a dark slate blue...no a bright medium blue....no a soft sky blue! (which is why they aren’t painted! I can’t decide! LOL)

Every one of the soap dishes and glass containers came from a thrift store.

The only thing I bought ‘new’ is the tall container and it was from Michael’s with a 50 % off coupon.

I took these photos this morning. We have nice bright sunshine and probably got less than 1 inch of rain from the storm. I hope everyone else fares as well!

I have a new blog friend, Lisa and she is an interior designer with an amazing blog...HERE ! She did a post, “Putting your Seashell collection front and center” that is wonderful. I want to add her link HERE so that everyone can visit her!

I am linking with Linda for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday!

I love my seashells and I love finding bargains!

Don’t you?

You have found a nice place to display those pretty shells. You will be able to enjoy them everyday. The containers are very nice to store them in. Glad your weather isn't too bad. We are supposed to get rain in a day or two due to the storm. Have a great day, dear one!------- Shannon

Now that's a Florida bathroom! Having trouble with deciding on a blue for the bathroom must be common as I had the very same difficulties. I wound up with an Alice blue whatever that is.

So glad that the storm was gentle with you.

Hi Diane and thanks for the recent visit and comments. Looks like you hit the jackpot for containers for your seashells. I am like you, nothing is better than a bargain!! I love to inspire people with pictures and then say "now go out and find something as similar and affordable as you can"! The hunt is what excites me! Have a wonderful day!!! Lisa

Hi Diane,
I love shells too..Wow you found a Junonia shell, I bet you were jumping up and down..so that was you I heard shouting with joy. I heard you all the way in Calif..LOL :)
I love your pumpkins and the sweet tucks are adorable! Isn't always hard to choose a paint color. I know what you mean it always takes me a while to choose too, since I like so many color ways.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

Your shells are so pretty! I only have a few and keep them in my flower bed. Like the nursery rhyme Mary, Mary quite contrary...

Glad Issac spared you! My crazy neice is flying into Florida today! She has strict orders to call as soon as she gets there so her dear Aunt will be able to sleep tonight!

Your seashell vignettes look so nice! Love the new container you found at Michaels. I used to have a med. navy blue color on my bathroom walls. I loved it. The white tiles below kept the room from being too dark. I'll be interested to see which shade of blue you choose!

You got less than an inch of rain on your side of town???? It has POURED over here on my side! I was also beginning to wonder if my newest palm tree was going to get it's leaves broken. Thank goodness it just whipped around a lot.

You found loads of Junonia pieces as well as your whole one! I found 12 pieces, (besides my whole, and 1 broken) but you found more! WOW!

Love the bowls, dishes, and containers filled with identical shells. I'm going to have to copy you :)

Big seashell hugs!

Goodness, aren't we lucky that storm skirted on by, we got a lot more rain here in Orlando, but the sun was back out today! What a great seashell collection, seems all I find is broken ones!

You have a serious seashell problem! I'd go with a Slate blue that pulls that vein out of your marble. If you get plenty of sunshine it'll look GREAT!

I once shipped home a huge box of shell I collected down on the beach in Florida. They are still waiting for a project, maybe yours will be an inspiration for me. Thanks so much for stopping by, Laura
