You are so clever. I'll be rushing to our local grocery store after hotdogs later today. I bought supplies for making school lunches, but failed to remember the hotdogs! Have a splendid Labor day!

Happy Holiday week end. I wouldn't think that I'd see turkeys in Florida. Don't know why. An alligator perhaps. Fun post.

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

I'm back from camp. I didn't know there were wild turkeys in FL? Mom says we will probably see them in Asheville and Weaverville. Can't wait!

You are going to be mighty busy.
Aren't wild turkeys wonderful. A couple of years ago hubby and me went fishing on the river. A flock of them flew across the water right over our boat to the other side. What an amazing sight.
I love your banner, Its lovely.

Haha! I'm glad to see Beef on that package instead of Turkey! Cute post! I just snapped a wild turkey on our Back 6 the other day. I don't think they were headed to WalMart, tho! :)

Those look like some big old birds. I always had a turkey carrying an "eat cheese" sign on my classroom door in November. This reminded me of that!

Oh my goodness sweet friend, such memories you bring me with the Hebrew National turkey hot dogs mother used to make for us kids, specially for BBQs! You see, I'm a Newyorker...I guess you know that! There's a black swan here in a country restaurant and I love it, reminds me of that awful movie! Thank you dear Diane for your sweet and kind words for my daughter. Have a happy September month!

We see wild turkeys here very often! Yesterday we saw a bunch that we always see by the side of the road. there were some young ones that we have watched "grow up". Don't know why they are so close to the road when there are ample woods behind them?????? Have a great holiday Diane!

I'm not surprised, I've seen a bunch of turkeys at Walmart before. Although, these are better dressed.

That's a lot of wild turkeys! It seems they are making a come back in many communities--there was even a few that lived in Manhattan!

Thank you for your kind words of condolence, Diane. They were greatly appreciated!

Too funny! Do you think that they know that it's not all that long to Thanksgiving?

Had me smiling all the way through. There are certainly some gorgeous hills in your area, my friend. When we visit friends in Gainesville, we are always thrilled when we go past Orlando because that's when the thrill rides really start for us. :) We love it.
Glad you enjoyed your Labor Day. I am so behind on visits it's not even funny. Helping hubby out with our family business and the kids had college activities that had us out almost two weeks.
Browsing through your posts now.

Hi namemate! Sorry for the super late comment and visit. I've been so busy with work over the past week. :)

I was again mesmerized by the large relaxing view of the field. The greenery is very refreshing to the eye. The weather also looks so perfect.

Wishing you another great weekend!
