Happy Autumn comes to Florida

Even though it’s still hot here and the air conditioner is still running, I’m ready to decorate for Fall.

Mosaic11Sept

I worked on a shelf above some of my vintage children’s books and made a little ‘owl vignette’.

(for those that like to see the titles of the books)

And of course, it’s always fun to play with at least one photo on picmonkey.

I love this space effect, don’t you?

Happy Fall, y’all!

Happy fall, Diane! i think a nice moderate autumn sounds lovely, which means that Florida must cool a bit and Maine must warm a titch.

I have been clearing things away so that I can bring out the autumn decorations. They are my most favourite colours in the year. Valerie

It's darn cool here today Diane, hard to think of you still with the A/C on. You might be able to have your own lending library for neighbours with the variety of books you have.
Owls from outer space? I like that effect from PicMonkey.
Happy Autumn.

Pretty and fun touches of Fall! I should spend some time and experiment with more of PM's different effects.

I see lots of vintage books that I have ... Trixie Beldon was a favourite of mine. Enjoy Fall in the sunny south.

Cute mosaic! Happy Fall! We finally have a touch of cooler weather today. Loved seeing your books, like old friends of mine -- Bobbsey Twins, Cherry Ames, Did I see a Nancy Drew? And happy Hollisters! Have you found them at antique shops or are they from your childhood?

I enjoyed browsing your blog, we have a lot of things in common! I have a lot of children's books too.

Are you in Ocala? (I saw the thrift store address) We are in Palm Coast, probably a couple of hours away.

When you live in southern California you have to remind yourself that much of the country is dealing with cool nights, possible frosts and leaves changing colors.

It really felt like Fall here today...it was in the low 60's. Perfect weather for our trip to the Flea Market.
Love your owl vignette. I put my Fall stuff out a few days ago.

You have a wonderful collection of children's books, Diane! I also have a soft spot for children's books and saved many of my own and those of my children. I can see you have a "Cherry Ames Student Nurse" book -- one of my favorite series when I was young!

Yes - of course we want to read all the titles of the books from your childhood!
I wonder if you pick them up and read them again?

Wishing you a happy fall!

Could that be a Greek doll in the left hand corner? I have been looking for one for a long time, as I am part Greek. I love 'Jess' on Toy Story. My daughter, Jess, used to have her when she was young. She would love your collection of vintage children's books, as she is teaching Elementary school now.
