I have a happy face but that’s not what I’m sharing today! lol
Look at this happy little girl..in progress! (she’s showing off her bloomers Nana Diana! hahaha)
I FINALLY tried to sew a face and put hair on a Raggedy Ann dollie! She’s ‘Itsy Bitsy’ from a pattern by Oh Sew Dollin.
“Ain’t she sweet,
she’s got pigtails red as beets!”
So we named her Carrots!
(and I even made her a carrot to hold! lol)
And the presents?
Hubby went to Walmart one day and came home with a new lightweight folding chair for me to carry outside.
And he walked through the sewing department and bought thread and bobbins.
What a SWEET SURPRISE!
So everyone here has a happy face!
I’m joining Brenda for Tweak it Tuesday!
Do you like to take a chair and sit outside in the warm weather? (or would you rather be inside in the air conditioning sewing with me today?)

you have a thoughtful hubby. :) and i like those cute bloomers.
What a darling dolly! Now that gift is so thoughtful...those decorative stitches use a lot of thread!
YOu DO have such a sweet hubby! And the itsy Miss Carrots is adorable!
Those dolls are charming. We have chairs on the front porch and back patio and I love to sit outside on a warm day!
Sweet Carrots, aahhh shucks!!
Your hubby is very thoughtful and I LOVE your new dollie! She's adorable!
Pretty cute. My mom used to make the rag dolls. Hers were large and I'd paint the faces on them. What a little cutie--you should make her a friend.
That is so cute! I love Raggedy Ann.
Blessings,
Amy Jo
Your hubby is bearer of hobby treats; how thoughtful and sweet! Carrots is TOO cute!
Have a wonderful week, my friend!
Hugs,
Poppy
I think Nana Diana has a pair of bloomers just like those. LOL. That is the cutest doll face . I love it. Isn't it nice when our men buy us something, that we like. LOL. xoxo,Susie
Your dolls are charming, as is your husband! Enjoy stitching while you sit in that chair.
I love her. ADORABLE!!! What a sweet husband you have. xo Laura
I'm a stay in the house with the air conditioning kind of girl!
Judy
Your little doll is so cute! You have so many fun hobbies. I need to make myself stop working so much.
I didn't realize they made those woven chairs anymore. We need some! They are lightweight and comfortable.
So cute!
What a sweet hubby! Your doll is adorable. I made a Raggedy Ann & Andy for our daughter when she was small. Poor Raggedy Andy never got his clothes made!
I love to sit under the shady trees and knit, crochet or hand sew. But if I'm doing a big project I prefer to be inside so I can spread everything out. You got some lovely things from Walmart ... hubby is spoiling you :)
I don't like the heat. Or the humidity. I'm an inside with the air conditioner kind of gal.
Brenda
Hi,‘Itsy Bitsy’,
You sure do have a happy face, must be that carrot that you are holding. Welcome to blogging.
Hugs,
Prudence ♥
Perfect face on your doll! I'd much rather be outside. Not a big fan of a/c unless it's H O T!
Well I am impressed - you do great work, you talented woman you! Enjoy your week. xo
Isn't she precious! And a tiny carrot! You are so clever. You have the sweetest hubby buying you sewing supplies. Keep on creating! Enjoy your new chair.
You know me and dolls.. but THAT sweet girl is adorable. I have always loved Raggedy Ann and Andy... and she is one of the sweetest. If you ever sell one, I'm in. I love the small size too.
Cute dolls. You are so talented. It is too hot to go outside now unless it is at 7 am.
OMGosh- That is THE cutest rag doll yet, (in my humble opinion) Diane! lol I am glad she is showing me her bloomers--at least I know she has some on---unlike SUSIE over at SHE JUNKS! lol (you know what they say about payback, Susie)...lol
Love the carrot, too. She is darling! xo Diana
You have a very thoughtful husband. I adore you dolls; they are cute as can be!!!
I am not much on sitting outside except maybe early spring and fall!
Cute little doll, Diane! And looks like a comfy lawn chair. I love sitting outside when it's warm as long as the mosquitoes aren't out. :-)
How about that? Such a sweet husband to stop and make purchases for you..JUST BECAUSE. He is a keeper. I do like to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. I guess I got this from my mom, as she could always be seen sitting in a lawn chair (outdoors) enjoying nature..
Sweet dolls!!
You are SO talented and you make the cutest little dolls! I'll stay inside as it's raining here but I have been known to take my handiwork outside and sit in the sun.
She's so sweet, love her happy face. My mom is a Raggedy Ann doll maker, she has them lined up all over a shelf in her sewing room.
Your Raggedy Ann is so adorable!! What a sweet hubby to get you bobbins and thread.
hugs,
Cindy
I could sit outside for a short time, but I don't like really hot weather.
Your doll sure turned out cute, Diane!
I love that cute little smiling face! You have a sweet hubby and I bet those gifts put a smile on Your face! :) Yes, I like to sit outside when it's not too hot!
WHat a lovely and cheerful post.
What a great job...She is adorable and your hubby, well...He's a keeper!!
Carol
So cute *•*
Adorable!!
Carrots made me think of Anne of Green Gables :)
Happy Sewing.
Love to sit outside and when really hot in cool air in my sewing room :)
Woolie Hugs
Oh, she is so cute and what personality. I would much rather be siting out in the sun the in that air conditioned house. But sometimes it is just too hot to bask in the sun. Sweet hubby for knowing just what you need.
Morning, oh you did great, love the sweet face. Blessings Francine.
Oh, you are so talented - that dolly is adorable! And what a sweet hubby you have!
JUST LOVE HER!! You are so talented! :)
Love your cute rag dolly, she has such character! Husbands who fetch sewing notions are real treasures, I think! Your hb is so kind, Diane!
We have to make the most of the sunshine here so I do sometimes take a chair out to the garden on a lovely day.
Wishing you a happy week.
Helen xox
LOVE this sweet doll! She is darling!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
Hi Diane, what darling little doll creations you've made. Love Carrot and her sweet little face holding her carrot.
How sweet of your hubby to come home with the folding chair and thread with bobbins. He is so thoughtful. My hubby does this kind of thing too but it still is a surprise when he does. Yes, I would take the chair and sit outside, then do the sewing in the evening when the sun goes down.
Happy June sweet friend.
Thank you for stopping by. So great to see you yesterday.
Hugs~~
Carrots is adorable. I love that you gave her a carrot to hold. I like to sit outdoors on a warm day, but only in the shade with a cold drink. This is the time of year I anxiously wait for. XX ~ Nancy
Hi there! I came here by way of Helen's blog from a comment you left there, and just wanted to say hello and tell you how adorable that little Raggedy Ann is! Love the tweaks you made on her, and that carrot it just too cute! :o)
Great job with the Raggedy Ann and her carrot. And I love your cloud photos. Occasionally we get clouds like that (as we did today) but not like FL. That's one thing I love about FL!
She is so cute Diane! I love her face! How thoughtful that your husband bought you sewing supplies!
:) Think I would love to be inside with you (right beside you in fact) sewing up a storm! LOL....
Linda
Sewwhat!
I am so in love with your dolls Diane! They are beyond adorable.
(I think I'm more of an a/c gal, especially if it's humid.)
xxx
Yes they certainly have happy faces!!! How wonderful! they would make any little girl happy!!! :^) patsy
Oh, she is the sweetest thing, Diane. You did a great job on her, and I love the smile. When Nel was little, she carried around her raggedy ann doll everywhere she went. To this day, she still has that doll.
Your father used to love country songs and sang them? My best friend loves country music too. I bet you miss him dearly.
love,
~Sheri
What sweet dolls! Does everyone sew but me? Is it to late to learn?
