Presents and Happy Faces!

I have a happy face but that’s not what I’m sharing today! lol

Look at this happy little girl..in progress! (she’s showing off her bloomers Nana Diana! hahaha)

IMG_4939

I FINALLY tried to sew a face and put hair on a Raggedy Ann dollie! She’s ‘Itsy Bitsy’ from a pattern by Oh Sew Dollin.

“Ain’t she sweet,

she’s got pigtails red as beets!”

So we named her Carrots!

(and I even made her a carrot to hold! lol)

And the presents?

Hubby went to Walmart one day and came home with a new lightweight folding chair for me to carry outside.

IMG_4888

And he walked through the sewing department and bought thread and bobbins.

What a SWEET SURPRISE!

So everyone here has a happy face!

I’m joining Brenda for Tweak it Tuesday!

Do you like to take a chair and sit outside in the warm weather? (or would you rather be inside in the air conditioning sewing with me today?)

Pretty cute. My mom used to make the rag dolls. Hers were large and I'd paint the faces on them. What a little cutie--you should make her a friend.

Your little doll is so cute! You have so many fun hobbies. I need to make myself stop working so much.

I didn't realize they made those woven chairs anymore. We need some! They are lightweight and comfortable.

What a sweet hubby! Your doll is adorable. I made a Raggedy Ann & Andy for our daughter when she was small. Poor Raggedy Andy never got his clothes made!

I love to sit under the shady trees and knit, crochet or hand sew. But if I'm doing a big project I prefer to be inside so I can spread everything out. You got some lovely things from Walmart ... hubby is spoiling you :)

I don't like the heat. Or the humidity. I'm an inside with the air conditioner kind of gal.

OMGosh- That is THE cutest rag doll yet, (in my humble opinion) Diane! lol I am glad she is showing me her bloomers--at least I know she has some on---unlike SUSIE over at SHE JUNKS! lol (you know what they say about payback, Susie)...lol

Love the carrot, too. She is darling! xo Diana

I am not much on sitting outside except maybe early spring and fall!

Cute little doll, Diane! And looks like a comfy lawn chair. I love sitting outside when it's warm as long as the mosquitoes aren't out. :-)

How about that? Such a sweet husband to stop and make purchases for you..JUST BECAUSE. He is a keeper. I do like to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. I guess I got this from my mom, as she could always be seen sitting in a lawn chair (outdoors) enjoying nature..

Sweet dolls!!

You are SO talented and you make the cutest little dolls! I'll stay inside as it's raining here but I have been known to take my handiwork outside and sit in the sun.

Oh, she is so cute and what personality. I would much rather be siting out in the sun the in that air conditioned house. But sometimes it is just too hot to bask in the sun. Sweet hubby for knowing just what you need.

Love your cute rag dolly, she has such character! Husbands who fetch sewing notions are real treasures, I think! Your hb is so kind, Diane!
We have to make the most of the sunshine here so I do sometimes take a chair out to the garden on a lovely day.
Wishing you a happy week.

Hi Diane, what darling little doll creations you've made. Love Carrot and her sweet little face holding her carrot.
How sweet of your hubby to come home with the folding chair and thread with bobbins. He is so thoughtful. My hubby does this kind of thing too but it still is a surprise when he does. Yes, I would take the chair and sit outside, then do the sewing in the evening when the sun goes down.
Happy June sweet friend.
Thank you for stopping by. So great to see you yesterday.

Hugs~~

Carrots is adorable. I love that you gave her a carrot to hold. I like to sit outdoors on a warm day, but only in the shade with a cold drink. This is the time of year I anxiously wait for. XX ~ Nancy

Great job with the Raggedy Ann and her carrot. And I love your cloud photos. Occasionally we get clouds like that (as we did today) but not like FL. That's one thing I love about FL!

Oh, she is the sweetest thing, Diane. You did a great job on her, and I love the smile. When Nel was little, she carried around her raggedy ann doll everywhere she went. To this day, she still has that doll.

Your father used to love country songs and sang them? My best friend loves country music too. I bet you miss him dearly.

love,
~Sheri
