I’ve been doing a lot better about cleaning out and purging. But when I take donations, I just have to run inside and ‘peek’!
Just in case!
I was very good for the whole month of October and only bought a few things.
I was looking through the fabric when I noticed this sweet little pattern and the old rulers.
Thought these might be cute for a project for the doll room.
The aprons are only a nickel at the old thrift store (when you can find them). Don’t you love the terry aprons. They are not homemade either, they have tags.
And then “JACKPOT”! I took a big bag of clothes and handbags to Hospice Thrift and walked out with furniture! haha! Three small parsons tables. (about 15 inches square)
We actually already have one so now we have FOUR! They are so perfect to set a plant on or a doll, or a basket. They stack so they don’t take up much room when you aren’t using them.
Furniture was 20% off and then I got another discount for bringing in my shopping bag so I ended up only owing $4.58! What a bargain!
I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

and Tweak it Tuesday!
It makes you want to go back…
again and again!

A nickel for that darling apron? There is a Thrift store here, but it seems a lot different than the ones I read about - like yours. I think it's because of the area I live in. If the clothing is namebrand the Thrift store raises the price to over $20.00 even it the article of clothing is in bad shape and stained.
Anyway, I think I need to visit you so I can experience "real" Thrift stores :) Your items are wonderful, Diane! Hugs to you!
Nice find on those aprons. Are you going to paint the tables or use them as is?
Looks like you found some great things! I just started cleaning out my house last week, and I hope to behave and not bring anything new back in but I love stopping at my local thrift store. I stop in there once a week, because you never know what you will find. Have a great week.
What great finds. I passed on a dollhouse the other day and am now having remorse. And those tables would be perfect for my two small dollhouses that will be on turntables. You've got a good eye and a great thrift store.
LOL- You are as bad as I am---take things in and bring more home. lol I have been doing better though and seldom bring anything home anymore. I need to GET RID of more stuff, too. xo Diana
You did good! I found a black and white gingham checked apron with that same sweet stitching at Good Will just a couple of weeks ago! My mom used to make them just like that when I was alittle girl...it brought back such memories, I had to have it!
Love the garland and pattern! I would have had a hard time leaving those behind too. Great price on the tables!
What a great deal!! I am going to have to go shopping with you!!
Fantastic thrifty shopping Diane! Very clever of you to stack the tables!
Have fun!
Now that was a bargain !! I like the aprons too. Hope you are having a warmer day today...I saw on the weather report that it was cold in Florida. Rainy here. xoxo,Susie
the aprons are beautiful I have never saw terry ones before!! Great find the tables, you will use those for sure with all your dolls,
What fun, Diane! Looks like you did well with your thrifting! What a sweet pattern and I always love old rulers and yardsticks.
Hello Diane, you've found beautiful treasures! I love the aprons. I've got a green gingham one myself too. It belonged to my great-grandmother. Happy to have found your beautiful blogs! Going to follow you through bloglovin. Wishing you a beautiful day, hugs
Diane, I am always shopping when I take in donations to the Goodwill.
Your finds are just awesome! I love the old rulers.
I was collecting aprons, but I am trying to reduce some of my collections.
it's always the "i'll just have a peek" that gets me every time. ;)
Diane, you know I do the same thing...take stuff in and of course I have to look! You found some cute items but I must say I love the little parson tables! So handy! That pattern is adorable also.
hugs,
Linda
I'm equally guilty of peeking/shopping when I drop off donations. Loving your prices on all your new treasures.
Great bargain indeed. Love the rulers.
Do what you love, my friend. I love it when you share your finds, it always inspires me.
xoxo
Wow, I wish we had thrift stores like you. Our Goodwills have gotten really expensive. xo Laura
I know, I drop off and then I pick up...I have tried to go to just the drop off center not associated with a store. Love the rulers and I never pass up a vintage apron!
Carol
Love those aprons .. rarely see anything for a nickel here :(
I'm in a cleaning out and purging mode too. I've been taking donations every few weeks. I tend to go in and peek sometimes too but haven't found any treasures lately. That sure was a deal on all those little tables. I can imagine they could come in very handy.
The apron reminded me of my 7th grade Home Ec project! Your finds are very sweet indeed, Sis XOXO
Those aprons are the best. Wish I could find them for a nickel at our thrift store!!! Congrats on all your finds!!!
Those little tables are so neat. I like how they stack.
Diane, you found some great bargains. I love the wood rulers. The little tables would have went home with me! Have a great week!
Hugs, Dianne
Wow I love your shopping so much
Enjoy x
Wow, those are some great bargains! I love old sewing patterns and aprons and the tables are perfect for so many things! Good finds! xo Karen
5¢ for that chicken scratch apron? That's worth more than the entire bill! You seem to have a knack for finding the good stuff!
Hi Diane, Those stacking table were a super buy. I would love to go thrifting with you!
Oh my gosh, Diane, I haven't seen these school rulers in ages. They really brought back memories. That's so special that you donate to Hospice. What a wonderful lady you are. I love to see all your great finds - it's like I'm shopping there with you haha.
love,
~Sheri
You sure know how to find the bargains. The pattern is so precious and your thrifty table finds are the perfect size. Thanks Diane for sharing your treasures at VIParty.
What stinkin fun.
I had a blast at the Thrift store last week..
Woolie Hugs BFF
Wow! That was a great deal! I love those little tables.
Great finds!
Erica :)
Wow, you did amazing. Great finds and at a great price.
I have always wanted those little stackable tables....will you paint them or leave natural. Great buy.
I remember those aprons-I have one that was my Mother's.
I've been trying not to buy much at thrift stores too. It works great until I see something I really want! Fortunately there are no good ones here in the Yukon.
Oh, I would not have been able to pass up those rulers. Nice scores!
Love the aprons! I have been purging too. Goodwill was sure happy to see my load this past week. They got a lot of Debbie doo's crafts and all:) Glad to see you are doing well.
All great finds. Yes, it really is hard to go donate items and then not turn around and buy some more items. 'Glad I'm not the only one who does that, lol!
A good trip indeed! Those tables are perfect for so many things! But my favorite is the doll pattern-- it's so sweet!
Happy November to you.
Isn't it HARD not to buy things in places like that! :-) You made some nice finds!
You are phenomenal! Now I know why everyone moves to FL...the bargains! LOL!
Lol! Doesn't everybody walk out with more than they walked in with??
I love the rulers and the vintage childrens sewing patterns. They stole my heart! Great finds.
Thanks for linking up at the VIP party.
OH what fun you had - I love the pattern - I'm sure I had that at one time - hmmmm maybe I'd better look around. I love the little tables too - just perfect.
Oh my gosh, those sweet little dresses make me wish I could sew! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Bliss Tuesdays. Jo
