The Mountains of NC!

We are happy to be spending some time in the mountains this Fall.

Our first view of the mts from the interstate! YAY!!!

The leaves have fallen but it’s still very pretty.

The mountains are always beautiful no matter what the season.

We have a wonderful view of the mountains from our condo and I stood out on the balcony to get some sunset photos. I’m sure I’ll have more pics to share. I saw one tree that was still loaded with dark red leaves…if we go back down that road again. We love going to our favorite stores and shops here. And of course eating at our favorite restaurants. We’ve already eaten lasagna at Iannucci’s….it’s always amazing!

We have family to visit here too so there will be lots of happy times ahead. And great places to hike, too!

Let’s see….it was 34 degrees one morning but the high was in the 50s that afternoon. Let’s see how long this lasts! And how long WE last! heehee! Bbbbbbrrrrrr!!!!

What’s your weather like now? Enjoy your week!

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

I have not be to NC since I was a child and that was along time ago. We have NC on our list to visit after Hubby retires to see if we want to move there. Any advice on some nice small towns?

I was wondering if you were headed up to your place this Fall. I know you are usually up there this time of year. Glad to see you are "home" and have family that will be there, too.

Looking forward to more pictures! xo Diana

It sounds as though you will be having a wonderful time in the mountains! The views are beautiful. It's finally getting cooler, here, too. I'm one of those strange people who like the cold, though, so I'm pretty happy about it! :-)

Diane, I'm glad you are enjoying the NC mountains. Yes, it has been cold lately. Today, it was a wonderful 60 degrees but I'm afraid the cold weather is due to return soon. xx

Just found your blog. I closed my business and sold my large home in WA state and bought a very small century old farmhouse in the Appalachian mountains, online and sight unseen, not knowing anyone here. I LOVE mountain life in NC. Have never regretted the move here. It does seem like there are more Floridians here than locals though. Looking forward to exploring your blog. Enjoy your time here in the mountains of NC. Blessings.
