The Prettiest Ducks in the Pond

We saw a lot of beautiful birds at Tuscawilla Park in Ocala but only one exactly like this!

I’m not even sure what it is but it was BIG….as big as a goose and we only managed 2 photos. What do you think? Maybe a hybrid?

And not to be outdone by the city ducks…

the Hybrid Mallards at our neighborhood pond posed in a bed of white clover.

Our wildflowers are blooming like crazy but I was still surprised to see the clover in full bloom this early.

They get the prize for most beautiful setting!

Diane, You should be using your bird shots to make postcards or stationary. So beautiful. I love the lone duck in the clover ...looks like an iris growing there also. Blessings for a wonderful Easter. xoxo, Susie

How I would love to be in a bed of clover right now, like your ducks ... it's soft, and to be surrounded by its lovely aroma!

Happy Easter to you!

Came by to see if you'd posted anything and enjoying the pretty ducks picture! I sure don't know that bird is....maybe a mixture, like you said? Love looking at ducks and birds feathers---the patterns and different textures and how they fade into each other is so interesting. Do you know Debbie at http://itsallaboutpurple-debbie.blogspot.com/ ? She put up a post today about ducks too! I dont know if you know each other or not, but you both love PURPLE, lol. Hope you have a lovely Easter my friend. It's going to be sunny and pretty here, almost 80 degrees. I stayed in the kitchen nearly all of today cooking goodies for tomorrow. By evening, I was ready for a break and a short walk about the city, so out we went, us and two dogs. Do you have something fun planned for tomorrow?

Hi! As you know I'm back from my cruise to Jamaica and wanted to stop by and thank you for visiting I'd Rather B Birdin' in my absence. Have a great day! Hope to see you again, soon.

LOVE the photos this week. The ducks are definitely huge!

Hello Diane!:) It's big, and looks like a goose, but I have never seen one like it. Beautiful duck captures, and you did take them in a pretty setting with the Iris and clover by the water's edge. Just had a vision of my dog Mel, rolling in that clover! She would love it! Enjoy your Easter Weekend!:)
