Finally! Let’s take a Hike!

After being in NC for almost a month, I finally got to take a few hikes! We worked so hard to help a family member with a move that we didn’t have the energy to walk. (we climbed the stairs dozens of times though so that kept us in shape! lol)

My beloved Fletcher Park is always my favorite destination.

And it never disappoints!

The weather was fabulous! Usually around 80 degrees with a nice cool breeze.

I saw this Starling up high at the ball field.

And this frog down by the pond.

Of course seeing this little boy riding his bike was fun too.

I remember trying to keep up with my  4 sons when they were little.

Parks are a great place to make some memories.

And the views here at Fletcher Park are amazing!

Those mountains are ‘smokin’!

Have you had a chance to get outside this week?

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

What a wonderful "walk in the park!" That little boy is adorable and carefree riding his bike. So sweet! Plus, I love the bird and frog you captured..., and the lovely wildflowers! Plus, the mountains look so grand!

How wonderful you could help with the move. It sounds like it was a lot if hard work, but it's always nice to be there for family.

God's blessings! Net

Beautiful views of the park. Loved seeing the little kid on his bike and the photo of the frog. I haven't seen a frog in years I think!

yes we have been out walking our new dog, and I am walking a mile or more everyday in our neighbor hood, my post today is some of what I have taken, I have enough shots from a week of walking to post for a month. I love the frog and would love to see him and that little beach with the clear water would be my favorite spot.

More great pictures! The little boy is so cute on his bike. The Smoky Mtns are really "smokin'". What a pretty park and my favorite is the picture by the river...what a lovely area.

Glad you found some time to take a walk. That park sounds PERFECT.....

Not sure we are going to have much Fall this year. It still feels like Summer... Wonder if we'll even have any pretty colored leaves???????

Hugs,
Betsy

Hope the move is a done deal! Moves are hard work.

Sounds as if you are enjoying perfect weather. That little boy on the bike must remind you of four other little guys.

The wildflowers in that one picture almost look like they could be in the shape of a heart. How sweet. Of course, all your pictures are fabulous, as always.

You always take us on such pretty walks, Diane! I love to walk outside, but have had to walk on flat terrains lately. The photo of the frog is adorable as is the youngster on his bike--doing quite well! I always feel better about everything after a nice walk.

YAY, YOU'RE BACK, I'VE MISSED YOU!! Hope the project went well and things are getting back to normal now? Love the park pictures, we love our parks too, and head out to them pretty much DAILY now that we help take care of little granddaughter some days. We love our city parks and our county parks, always something new to see and enjoy. We love State parks too. Love your picture of the water here. It's still awful hot and humid here, our walks are still pretty sweaty and miserable, ha ha ha ha ha LOL....so looking forward to some fresh cooler breezes.

I can understand why this park is a favorite destination of yours...great scenery. That starling photo is like a portrait! (The little guy on the bike steals the show!!)

Your linked up post, today at I'd Rather B Birdin', is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your Fletcher Park does look very nice. I can see why you like it so much. Yes, keeping up with speedy grandkids gets to be a problem sometimes. If only they would slow down a little.

It’s so nice to go on those hikes and see nature like the front, bird and mountains. I walk my do Bosco everyday by the park and water. We both enjoy it except for the winter. Now we try to get out earlier as it gets dark earlier.
Hope you have a nice week.

All your photos are terrific - but my favorites have to be the frog hiding under the pond slime, and the 'smokin' mountains. We spent quite a few hours outside today, starting to thin some of the pine trees around our house. It will be a lengthy job, but I love being outdoors, especially with my hubby! Enjoy your week ahead!

Oh yes we did get outside, it is still nice Fall weather here in Oregon. Your walk made me smile, just like my own did! I like noticing all the things in nature. And the little bicyclist brought memories much the same as yours.

That one place I always wanted to go to and never did. It is just beautiful.

Moving is hard work, no wonder you were tired! Glad you made it out on this walk with the lovely views near and far. Autumn is the perfect time for long strolls or hikes. We were hiking yesterday, walking off the turkey and stuffing from the day before!
