High in the Sky!

I went to the library and stopped at the library pond to see if any birds were nearby.

But my best sighting was when I got home, White Ibis flying over my head!

I was still in my driveway but I had my camera with me so I took a few pics.

We've seen a juvenile lately and he is still with his family!

And I love these two together!

This is a Black Vulture.

If a Vulture can be beautiful...he IS!!!

And last night I walked outside and saw the most beautiful cloud formations!

So beautiful....HOT but beautiful! lol

I hope your week is filled with wonder and beautiful things too!

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays .

Hello,

Pretty captures of the White Ibis in flight. They are beautiful birds. Love the Ibis/Vulture photo. The sky and clouds are beautiful. It is getting warmer here now, humidity is not good. Wishing you a happy day!

Beautiful photos! I think vultures fly and glide so beautifully! They aren’t the prettiest bird but all have their place, your cloud photos are awe inspiring!

All wonderful photos! The Ibis in flight and I agree, the Black Vulture is beautiful too. Birds always look so graceful up in the sky, a real treat to see..

Great series of aerial shots. Black Vultures are masters of the air and furnish an image of grace and beauty for all who take the time to watch.

Wow, great set of photos. That Ibis reminds me of a Heron / Egret. The Black Vulture looks similar to our (CT) Turkey Vulture. They are big birds! And those clouds in the sky were fantastic looking. I enjoyed this post.

Ibis are the most common bird in our neighborhood, flocks of them every where. I like vultures because we need them to clean us the mess us humans make. your photos are beautiful

Fabulous photography! I think the vulture and the ibis in the same shot is intriguing, but only you, my dear friend, thinks vultures are beautiful. (Well, sometimes I think of them as eagles.)

Beautiful photos. I have never seen an Ibis other than in pictures.

I like the Ibis, but the black vulture has a bad rep in my area. They prey on newborn livestock. Thanks for linking up!

Lovely Florida sky photos, full of our beautiful birds!

So graceful are the Ibis, as the vulture is too! I love to find faces in clouds! Thank you for sharing.

I saw those same clouds last night during my after-supper walk. Could feel the humidity getting heavier, too. Hoped it would rain in my neighborhood but it did not.

Those birds, so incredible!

When a gaggle of ibises flow across my lawn ... I won't see a lizard for weeks. They clean 'em up like no one's business.

I love to watch them. Feel bad for the little lizards.

White birds are so beautiful. Isn't it strange that you saw a white bird and black bird right next to each other? What an interesting picture. The clouds are so pretty. And the picture of the three White Ibis is wonderful.

Have a relaxing weekend, Diane.

Adding a second comment here .... Had you not shown us pictures of the swallow-tail kites, I would not have know what they looked like. Then would you believe it, just today as we lunched on our back porch, we saw one above our yard, gliding effortlessly in the wind. It was a stunning sight, so beautiful and aptly named! Thank you for all the information you post about the birds here!
