I am still decluttering and trying to donate more than I buy but I needed a diversion this week! So I went to the old thrift store, Divine Providence. Some people call it the nickle store because all of the clothing there costs a nickle! ALL of the prices are super low so you have to be careful not to bring too much home when you visit! lol
I was happy to find some things to share with others though! The Legacy Hospice house has a beautiful family room filled with toys, books, videos and comfortable chairs to relax in. I found the cutest little house filled with art supplies to take. It has little drawers with crayons and colored pencils. (I took out the markers for obvious reasons and will buy a new pack of crayons to fill that drawer) It was 25 cents!!! Can you believe that!!!
I also found some stuffed animals to take to a lady in another facility that I visit. She'll love the soft pink bunny.
I think I'll keep the coloring book. (cost a dime) I am still learning about colors and could use some of these tips. I'm doing some art every day and would love to encourage you to do that too. There are so many great benefits to being artistic and creative.
Oh, but if you still need things to entertain you this summer....
you can always watch the water drip from your faucet!
hahahaha Do you see that BIG BUBBLE?
(we filter our water, I was filling a water pitcher)
And yes I see that my Kitchen Lemon is half full!
What's new at your house?

Summer berries are what's new at my house. Feast time!
How great that you found some wonderful things for the children!
No wonder retirees want to live in Florida! It's so inexpensive! Prices are not that low here but I wish. I stopped going to the Thrift Store as they almost tripled their prices. How wonderful to donate some of the items and refurbish them.
That little art supply house is so cute, I love that! Your thrift stores are amazing and yes those prices would make it very tempting to over load the car lol, I think it’s wonderful to encourage others to explore art, people always say , oh I can’t I’m not talented or I don’t have any artistic skill but they just need to set aside the doubts and go for it, I have always said everyone is an artist in their own way, it’s been very warm here fir the north so it’s been cooking outdoors for the most part, lots of fishing, swimming, still building, and running after grand children! Busy summer, take care my friend, enjoy your new treasures!
It is good to recycle all these items which would otherwise have made their way to the landfill. I suspect that many of them will end up there sooner or later, but in the meantime they have been used again.
hello,
You found some cute items. It feels so good to make donations, I am sure they are appreciated too. I wish I was creative, you are doing great with your sketches and watercolors. Have a happy day!
Since Margaret has introduced me to Beanie Boos, I feel like I want one Diane! Am I reverting to my childhood. I saw the cutest platypus and now I wish I had picked it up. I will have to be on the look out at Cracker Barrel.lol Loved all your Thrift store finds. I need an ole crockpot for melting bees wax and I think I need to look for one at our local thrift store.
hmmm...Dina got a new cover for her tablet in the mail yesterdae
What great prices! And it's so nice of you to buy those things and donate them to the hospice.
I find I like thrift store shopping far more than real shopping these days too.
You found great treasures for children.
Toys, books are beautiful things.
Greetings from far away Poland.

A boquet of flowers !!.....lovely day love Ria 💕💕
What great finds! One of my favorite things to do is go yard saling. Treasures on the cheap! Kit
Oh, I hope that I never get so bored that I'm entertained by dripping water, LOL. Great thrift finds . . . that little house with drawers is adorable. It will make your creative times even more fun :)
That's wonderful that your Hospice has a room like that and so nice you can donate the things you don't need anymore or just find something new for them.
What's new for me? Well, I bought a few paper lanterns for our porch at Dollar Tree. I think one didn't survive last night's storm! Hey, it's dollar tree!
Diane, I love the little house buy for the thrift store. So cute. Coloring books for rainy days. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
...the Nickle Store, how neat.
since I am a rug hooker I try to pick up my hook everyday. Not always easy in the summer when we are so busy.
good finds.
Cathy
I can see how that nickel store could get one in trouble :). I think you came up with a good solution to share the wealth.
Can't say I've ever seen a bubble come out of the faucet.
My kitchen lemon soap is half full too.
Great deals and fun finds. I love the little house for the art supplies.
I've taken pictures of water faucets before but I"ve never gotten a cool bubble like that.
What delightful treasures for you and for others--
and I love thinking about you watching your water--bubble!!!!
luv, di
It's always fun to see what you got at the thrift store, Diane. I can't believe how low these prices were. That is an cute little house filled with art supplies. How nice that you will bring it to the Hospice House. The little bunny with the red sweater is sweet. I'm glad you're keeping the color art book. That will be nice to color in the flowers. I have a fairy coloring book like that, and I'll have to get back to that sometime. Your pretty lemon soap caught my eye. I love anything lemon hehehe. Thank for sharing your goodies. : )

I feel like I am always decluttering things around my house that I give away. It just seems like I have so much to donate but feels good to do at the same time. I love your finds and the house is so cute.
Enjoy the weekend.
I love donating to our local Matthew 25 thrift store. Once, I found a new Lego set there for my grandson. It cost $2. When I looked it up online, the price at Target was over $60!
Great finds at the thrift store to donate. Beautiful idea. That faucet bubble does look a bit strange! I have coloring books I've yet to open. Perhaps when I am recovering from knee surgery I will want something new to work on! xoxox
I loved seeing your thrift store finds, some great ones there! We don't have any thrift stores like y'all do, with prices LIKE THAT!! I also got a big kick out of your faucet "bubble", ha ha LOL! It's hot and humid there and it looks like it's going to sure get bad in Louisiana tomorrow or so, feel so bad for those folks.
It's nice that you take things to the hospice. We have a thrift store that helps support Blue Ridge Hospice and I donate a lot of things to them. It's a nicely organized store.
You inspire me with your hospice work......I'm not sure I could do that - although I do have a friend at Trail Lake Nursing Home on hospice....
I told Louis Dean I am trying hard not to make new friends at the nursing home. It would be so much easier if it wasn't 40 miles away....
Super bargains! I have colored pencils and a coloring book - I must find them and do a few pages.
Have a wonderful day!
I've started cooking again. I guess that is what is new at my house. xo Laura
Aren't thrift stores great? My wife volunteers at our local thrift store, which is a great way to give back to the community.
I thought you were filling a wine glass ... you see where my head is. That art supply house is so cunning. I love how you are thinking of others always. That thrift store is amazing!q
Oh my, that little art supply house is definitely cute.
I picked up some books from our local charity store the other day, I think they are similar to your thrift stores.
Have a happy weekend.
All the best Jan
i think i have the exact same hand soap in my kitchen, it was part of a 5 pack, all different scents!!
i really like the coloring book, that was a great find!!
i must have something better than a bubble to share, but at the moment, i just can't think of anything!!!
happy weekend my friend!!! Hugs from Charleston!
