Junk Journals and Tag books

I love it when my creative juices start flowing. I have SO many ideas for little journals and tags!

When the pandemic started I made a list on my IPAD of things that help me through the lockdown. I keep adding to it and have close to a hundred things on my list now. Some you would expect, like family and faith...others might surprise you. I look at the Flagstaff webcam almost every day. I know it's crazy but I have been there many times and long to go back. I make travel plans in my mind. So the webcam makes the list.

One of my ideas is a Fall gratitude tag book using things on my summer list.

(messy table at the top of the mosaic, tags in progress along the bottom)

And I've started working on that. Every day I design, then cut and glue and sew.

But one day I went to Etsy to look for some ephemera. Bits and bobs that I could use on my tags and in my journals. I searched Junk Journal and oh my! There were so many pretty creations that my eyes got bigger and bigger! And then I gave in and ordered the cutest little fox journal.

I exchanged messages with the sweet lady and when she sent me the journal, she sent lots of extras.

This beautiful little insert to use in a journal.

The inside of it!

And lots of those bits and bobs that I need to work on my own projects!

Visit her shop Fibro Warrior Journals HERE and be amazed!

What fun I'm having working on crafts....

oh and shopping on Etsy!

Have you been creative this week?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays and

I like Thursdays HERE too!

I have seen some of these beauties on You Tube. I believe there is one designer who does tutorials. It is a good way to save and sue cards and mementos. I have toyed with the thought of doing one. They look like such a creative outlet for those of us who like to play with pretty things.:)

Hello,

Your journal and tags are so pretty. Lovely fall creations. I am glad you have some fun and creative hobbies. Hubby and I enjoy looking at webcams from around the country. I always loved the Yellowstone NP webcams. Take care, have a great day!

looking at all your beautiful creations and hers also, i truly wish i had a creative gene to do some of this. they are all amazing to me. I have a creative gene but not with crafts. when i try a craft it looks like a 3 year did it. maybe even a 2 year old...

What a wise woman you are to plan ahead for things to do and accomplish in the long, dark days of you know. I do not shop on Etsy for this very reason. I would probably go broke. The seller was so good and kind to include all the extras...that should spark your creativity. No, unless you count clipping bittersweet berries and adding them to a bean pot, I have not been creative at all. 😁

I’m intrigued by junk journals too! I save lots of stuff anyway, so should put it into a journal. I’m kind of stuck in the collecting mode right now! I have boxes of bits and pieces and scraps. That shouldn’t surprise anyone! What is your go-to adhesive?

Such wonderful craft goodies. I don't do tags, but I've always been creative. I love making things. I do a lot of crocheting, and I enjoy making things on my laptop, using my own photographs. (cards, notes, calendars, etc.) Enjoy your new goodies, hugs, Edna B.

Your messy table looks very organized to me. You should see my messy table when I get going. I always end up losing an item or two with all the stuff I have all over.
This looks like fun and I know I always enjoy getting lost in a project.
I love the cute journal with the woodland creatures on the front.

I love the butterflies and I also love your creativity. I have been rethinking my blog, looking back to earlier posts, how I can make it more fun and interesting. Both for my blogger friends and for myself. That's been my creative project this past week.

I had to laugh at spending time on ETSY. I have to go on there everyday to check my shop---and it is a rabbit hole for sure. What a great bunch of supplies and projects you have going here.... Idle hands are the devil's workshop, my mom would always say. As an only child she always kept me busy with art supplies and goodie supply trays setup in a muffin tins. Enjoy and you have to share some of your projects..! Sandi

The fox journal is so sweet. Look at all your creative tags. I like that little pumpkin lady hehehe. Sounds like you're having fun working on these projects and being creative. Wouldn't it be nice to have a whole desk or room for crafts? I've always wanted that.

Enjoy!
