Be Careful how you Spend your Time!

Your time is your life. Be sure you are spending it on things that matter. I'm always telling my 'kids' this. Even though they are still in the work force, they have some 'spare' time and I want them to do things they enjoy and that benefit themselves AND others. When you get older, you realize how quickly it passes.

I'm blessed to have a good life and good health. I live in a place I chose, surrounded by things I enjoy doing. I love being out in nature, taking photos and sharing them on my blog. It's become a passion.

And I'm going to keep hiking and taking photos. But I'm going to have to take a little break from my blog. I'll see if I can stay off my computer for a week or so. Or at least cut back on the time I spend with a computer or IPAD in my lap! I'm still having some bad headaches and I'm trying to figure out what helps and what hurts.

So I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving next week!

And I'll keep praying for all of you that have asked for prayers. Please say a little prayer that I can get over these headaches. I've never had headaches in the past so it's a new experience for me. Most of the time, I just keep going. They are not so painful that I can't do things around the house or hike! So it's more of a nuisance than anything.

I'll share my owl photos on Saturday and then take a week or so off. I'm especially thankful for all of you! I value your friendship and I'll miss reading all of my favorite blogs! But I'll be back soon! It's a great way to spend time!

Photos all taken on the Florida Trails from the Pruitt Trailhead.

I am so sorry about your headaches. I suffer from migraines so I can certainly empathize. Be well, enjoy your holiday, and I'll see you when you get back. Lovely photos in today's post.

Prayers your headaches are nothing serious, and go away.
Sometimes, switching from screen to walking around, and scratched glasses cause me to have headaches. I hope you learn the source of yours soon. A sinus infection can be tricky, headache but nothing else to signal there is one.

Happy Thanksgiving!

hello Diane. yes I know about headaches...never used to have any really!! Doctors says it could be blood pressure...we will see!! Certainly walking helps...lots of fresh air! I always feel better after a decent walk. However, you do plenty of that! Hope you find out what it is and get better soon. I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts by the way :-) stay safe Amanda x

I will keep you in my prayers. I love your hikes and agree with your wise words.
I suffered from migraines since age 18. I am much better since menopause, but I know they can arrive again at any moment. I watch my foods to see if that has any bearing, but my health doctor that I go to that has helped me so much suggested 75 mg of butterbur. The only place I can find that specific mg size is on a website called Vitacost. I take one every night. My daughter also takes it expect when pregnant. IT helps both of us. We have tried going without it and they come back. A thought for you.

Awwww.... I'm so so sorry to hear about your headaches. The thing I think of most, when I hear of someone developing headaches when they don't normally have them, is the eyes. Have you had your eyes checked recently? Do you see a pattern of spending time online or reading and then the headaches develop? Try to track down a pattern to these headaches as that will help whatever healthcare provider ends up trying to help you. But the first thing I'd do is start with a current eye exam and go from there. Perhaps a COVID test would be appropriate too, as lots of people have complained about headaches (for a long time) with the virus. My prayers are with you during your time away from blogging and don't worry.... we'll be here when you return. Much love, Andrea xoxo

Sorry you are having headaches Diane. I am assuming you have seen the doctor about them. Hope you can get answers to what is causing them. Heaven knows 2020 is a year that would cause anyone to have headaches. Marvin was telling me about a 90 year old man who goes to the gym every day. The other day one of the younger men went up to him and told him that he wa such an inspiration to all the younger guys. I thought that was so nice. We do need to keep going and doing and appreciating these times.

Spectacular Sky photos today! Enjoy your break and I hope you figure out the headaches. If you take a few days off you and the headache goes away then it might be too many hours on the devices I had to do that a few months ago to figure out what was making my shoulder and arm hurt. See you when you get back

Hope you feel better soon!
Maybe cutting back on computer use will rest your eyes and stop the headaches. I sure hope so!

If you haven't had headaches before and they don't go away, please see a doctor. Maybe start with an eye doctor, it could be something simple like needing glasses or a new prescription.

Wouldn't it be lovely to lie down in the field in the top picture and look at the clouds go by? Snakes may be an issue, but still, the thought.

I will buy some glue when I do my next pick up outside shopping trip to Walmart. Then work on the journal. I have worked on it a bit already, laid out the design, so to speak.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. As good as it can be in the year 2020.

I have headaches every day. I SO understand. I hope you can find the cause and that they can do something to alleviate the discomfort.

LA Paylor said...

headaches... I had another occular migraine this week, lose vision .
those are triggered by chemicals in the air for me. Neck vertebra placement can cause tension headaches. You can look online for where your pain is located during a headache to try to know the cause. You're probably getting some fall organic things too like mold and pollens of grasses. I do hope you're better soon. No fever I assume?

Diane, yes, keep active and heal. It does take a bit longer as we age (I know. I'm 73 next month.) So limit yourself to computer/ipad work...and stay healthy!...:)jp

Headaches that bad? You absolutely must go to the doctor. I also have migraines since I was 4 yr. old, and finally going to see a Dr. was incredible. I did not know there was any help, that I had to tough it out.

I am sorry to hear about those headaches, Diane. I hope you taking time away from your screens will help! I know I spend way too much time on my screens what with blogging and social media and reading. My eyes get so tired by day's end.

Wishing you a happy and blessed and safe Thanksgiving.

Diane, I'm so sorry to read about your headaches! I hope your time off helps you to narrow down the source of the headaches so you can get back to what you most love to do. I'm praying the Lord shows you what this is all about.

Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

I am truly sorry to hear that your headaches are still persisting. Have you seen a doctor about it? I do hope you will get things checked out soon. In the meantime, keep taking those hikes as often as you feel up to it. We will miss seeing you here, but pray it won't be long until you will be back with us. Just take care of yourself first of all. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving.

Saying a prayer for you. Make sure you drink enough water- first thing when dehydrated: headaches. Also hormones can come into play, and also gritting one's teeth while asleep - can mess with your TMJ joint/ jaw and cause excrutiating headaches. I used to get such bad migraines I would vomit!

Last thing - have your radon and carbon monoxide checked. Could be that too, both can cause headaches.

Hope you figure it out soon, so sorry you are suffering. 2020 has been bad enough, dang it!

Hugs, we have been outside hanging lights, wreaths, signs, garland...since we had a spell of milder weather. Nothing will go on until after Thanksgiving, we are at one of the entrances to our little
lake unincorporated 'village' and the lights have always been special for the entire community. I can't promise we will decorate inside the house, since no one will be coming here(we are in PHASE 3) lockdown here, now. And you are totally right...we have lost what 10% of our still existing life span, so do what you love---and do what shows your love. Hugs, Sandi
