What have I missed? Mosaics?

I took a week off from blogging. I would like to say that I stayed off my computer for a week but my hubby would say I did NOT go 'cold turkey' no pun intended! I did limit my time online but it didn't seem to help my headaches. And I missed everyone SO much! I look forward to doing some visitin' but I will still have to be prudent. So let me know what I've missed on your blog in your comment.

We did a LOT of hiking this past week and that always makes me feel better.

The grasses in the fields look so beautiful.

We spent one afternoon hiking the Ross Prairie State Forest loop.

I received a fun gift box from my friend Kathy from Looking at Life through my Bifocals HERE. I won her blog giveaway and she filled a box with nice things for me to enjoy! Thank you Kathy!

And my blog buddy, Tom the Backroads Traveller HERE sent me a wreath again this year. I am getting spoiled having a fresh wreath from NY to enjoy all Christmas season. It hangs on my front door but we keep our big door open most of the time during the day so it puts the fresh evergreen scent into our house all day. Thank you Tom!

I baked yeast rolls using King Arthur Flour for Thanksgiving dinner. I love their catalog and wish I could afford to order things from it. But I'll be happy with the flour! It really is the best.

Have you had a good week? I know it's been difficult for many so let's continue to keep each other in our prayers. My friend Barbara from Sweet Tea and Sandals lost her precious Beloved husband a few days ago. Please keep her in your prayers. And let me know if you have someone that needs my prayers. Let's encourage and hold each other up in these hard times. God bless you.

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio,

AND my Monday post HERE.

It sounds like you enjoy your week off even if it did not help your headaches. All that hiking has to be good for you and it gave you plenty of things to put in your mosaics. No news here same old same old so you didn't miss anything from my blog

I received one of those KA catalogs. It seriously had some cute things, but you are right they were pricey. I love their gluten free flour. I use it quite a bit. I hope you find a solution to the headaches. I know they are stinky.

Well the least staying off the computer could do is help eliminate those headaches. Have you tried a bath in Epsom salts with lavender? Diane, there isn't a thing going on at my place so spare yourself the trouble. ☺️ I was going to write about Thanksgiving before it becomes December, yet I just am not feeling it.

Always love to see your collages...this one looks particularly November.

Wow! Congrats on the win from Kathy and what a great gift that Christmas wreath is! It's beautiful.

I am so glad you got the box and that you liked everything. It was fun going shopping for cute things. We had a great Thanksgiving. Just Joe and me but we spent a lot of time together talking, laughing and enjoying each other's company. I made a turkey dinner which is not me at all because I don't especially like turkey, but it was delicious. Now it's on to cleaning and decorating the house for Christmas. Glad you had a good week. Loved the pictures of that beautiful grass. And so nice of Tom to send you that beautiful wreath. I sure hope your headaches go away. I personally know how bad a headache can be.

I may be nagging here, but please see a doctor about your headaches. I'm writing this because I care. I will not mention it again.

My best and most interesting post of the week is the one I posted today about an afternoon in 1983 spent with an American painter in his gallery in Solvang, CA.

So many wonderful things in this post of yours: Gifts from friends, your mosaics, they are works of art, and the importance of prayers. I'm sorry for the loss your blogger friend experienced. Life is so wonderful and so difficult all at once. Sending love to you.

Thank you for this post. I've missed you, and I've been praying for your head to stop aching. Have you consulted a Dr. about them? Perhaps it might be a good idea since they are hanging on so long. Or maybe your eye dr? Praying for you to feel better. Yes, our hearts are breaking for Barbara. That was such a shock and seemed so very sudden. Praying the Lord will comfort and keep her in this very difficult days. Loved all your pictures, and that wreath is gorgeous! Are those real apples on it? I've never seen one quite like it! It's beautiful! Does it keep well in our hot Florida weather? Our front door gets so much sun that it is difficult to put anything fresh on it...but I guess if we kept the door open (with the storm door shut), it might help. Good idea! Have a blessed week. Oh, yes, I use King Arthur bread flours whenever I bake bread. I keep it in the freezer so it will last longer since I don't bake bread very often. Take care my friend.

Looks like you're well caught up. Sorry to hear headaches still an issue.

From my blog you would have learned that packing has started for the move to our new digs - settlement is Friday. I'm not not posting again until after we move but am reading blogs.

Hi Angie. Sorry about your headache. I´n not sure if that will help you, but myself I always get headache when I drink too little water.

I am not celebrating christmas much I got tired of it a couple of years ago. Too much work and expectations.

But I love your grass mosaics. I love all kind of grass, even crop. especially after raining and frost. And I love to try to catch their movement. Nice shots. :)

The only thing you missed in my blog is my shadow and a pyramid. :)
Take, care and try to drink water.

I'm sorry you're still getting the headaches. But hopefully soon you'll be back on track. You asked about what you're missing from our own posts. I posted a new post this morning talking about sweet things that happened last week, thus making an ordinary week special and beautiful.

I'm so sorry for your friend Barbara and her deep loss of her dear husband. Hard times for so many these days.

Wishing you a beautiful week ahead, Diane.

Welcome back! Missed you! Nothing much missed here but say a prayer for our daughter-in-law, Darlene, please. She is having hip replacement surgery tomorrow (Dec 1). She had one replaced last year and did great so we expect the same with this one. Thanks!! xo

I am sorry to hear your head is still hurting. Do be careful.
I have never used King Arthur flour. It might be something I need to try.

Diane - my last post featured the Don Henley song "My Thanksgiving" with pictures to match. It was a fun one to do.

You are a blessed woman to win a blog gift AND get a wreath from Tom!!! Last week, my best friend lost a friend to a car crash on icy roads - the young woman was only 20. Hard to fathom, but the Lord has His plans. Keeping all in prayer. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, and I hope there is a solution in sight for your headaches.

Praying for one another is something we all can do and I know it brings the Lord joy to hear our prayers. He wants us to come to Him with all of our cares, troubles and gratitude's.
God bless you sweet friend, I'm praying for your headaches as I type :)

So sorry to hear about your headaches, could they be from weather pressure systems? I know they affect me.
Work, life, holiday preparations, Mosaic Monday and Thursday Art Days is what I've been up to.
Love the wreath and that is very kind of Tom.
Nice giveaway win! Congrats
Have a blessed week

Wow, your mosaics are super-cool! We were so busy hosting Thanksgiving that I had very little time to blog jog last week. It was nice having the family together!

I rarely bake breads/rolls, but it looks like I should learn how. Yummy!

I also was so sad to read on Facebook on Thanksgiving Day that Barbara's husband passed away from covid the day before. I was praying so hard for him to recover. For some reason, my comments don't public on her blog and I hope she saw my condolences on there, too. Her deep faith is inspiring.

We had a quiet Thanksgiving -- my children had their own celebrations this year to keep us safe --covid numbers are very high in Colorado right now.

It is so sweet of Tom to send you a beautiful wreath every year! We decorated outside but I haven't begun inside as yet.

Hope your headaches are better!

Are you doctoring for these headaches???????

They seem to be "something new."

And "something new" should be looked into. The body is trying to tell us something.

Please do not just go along, and try things, to stop them.

Please see your doctor.

Gentle hugs...

I'm so sorry to hear that your blog friend lost her husband, Diane. That is so hard around the holidays. Those yeast rolls look Yummy. They kind of look like cinnamon rolls. What a lovely wreath that is, so simple and festive. It looks nice on your door. That was a thoughtful gift from your blog friend. And the other gift as well. It was so nice of her to fill a box with lots of goodies for you. This was a fun post with so much of this and that, I loved it. : )
