Let's 'mosey' around Shalom Park

We can't count it as a hike because we are going to 'mosey' real slow.

Are you with me?

We'll stop to take as many pics as we want and enjoy the fabulous views.

I haven't driven over to Shalom Park in awhile because I prefer being out in the woods.

But it's always delightful to walk around this park and see what flowers are blooming.

Roses bloom year round here!

Let's walk down to the gate and look over the pasture.

And I know it's hard to believe but I did NOT alter the grasses in these photos.

I didn't do anything to them.

The grasses really are a burnt orange color!

And one of the paths at the park is lined with purple flowers.

Just gorgeous!

I hope you've enjoyed a walk at the park. There weren't many people there, a few small families and some couples walking. Everyone with masks and/or social distancing.

My favorite photo of the day!

We've had some cold air plunge down to Florida but my banner at the top is altered! I have to admit to adding the snow and snowmen and little spindly trees....just for fun! We're back in the 70s today! ☃

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio,

AND my Monday post HERE.

Just the kind of walk where you want to mosey slowly to see everything!

I've never been to Shalom Park, but I heard it was beautiful, and you have proven it! What a lovely place! Love those purple flowers...are they a kind of clematis? I wouldn't think anything would be blooming so beautifully after our last few nights of freezing temperatures. But yes, it is up in the 70's again today! That's Florida!

What a beautiful park. I would gladly mosey through there. It's way better than trudging through snow here.

I am not a huge fan of manicured parks, but they have done a good job with this one.

loved the mosey... each morning, we mosey with Beau and Bob, it is such a slow mosey i can hardly do it. I started a week ago, walking fast with beau and when we get a block away from Bob who can only mosey, we stop and go into stay position until he catches up. that way we learn and Beau and I can hike.. then i take them home and go for my real walk. it is a beautiful park, and I agree, i prefer woods over parks like this one.

it is definitely a spot for moseying, you would not want to walk too fast and miss some of its beauty!!

a gorgeous park...i loved the purple flowers. the last picture is so pretty, i almost missed/didn't see the female cardinal!!!

Seeing the sunshine and the bright colours in your photos is really a tonic for me today as unrelenting grey is the colour of the week, it seems. What pretty sights to mosey by.

I always enjoy your walks! Such beautiful flowers to be seen, and the lovely grass scenes! So wonderful to be able to enjoy the beauty of this park and take in all the sunshine and glorious blooms. We are in the middle of a snowstorm here today, so these colors were lovely to see today :) Many blessings to you!

This park is so pretty, especially those Purple flowers! I love that little bridge, and the red cardinal made my heart sing. It was nice to mosey around Shalom Park with you. It looks so peaceful and well maintained.

It's enough to become a Snow Bird, for sure, when I see your beautiful landscape, complete with red Cardinals, especially as I look out my window to see the blanket of sparkling snow that covers the Garden Spot and it's cold, but the sun shines and its the last day a troublesome year. Happy New Year, Diane.

Well, that was a beautiful walk. I especially liked the picture of the cardinals. I had one singing outside my window yesterday...it was beautiful.
Rainy and cold here today. Trying to find a way to cheer things up. We are staying in tonight...probably like every other person. Going to try a new recipe. Fish tacos with a creamy lime sauce...Happy New Year to you and yours..Janey

That is such a beautiful park ... and so *Florida* with the December roses and all. And a mosey is just about my favorite speed. Except it’s a little cold for moseying here right now..(haha, you can look up “cold” on Google, I know you aren’t familiar with the word ))). I’m happy to know people are paying attention to masks and social distancing. Wishing a Happy and Hopeful New Year to you both .

Diane, Your photos of Shalom Park are wonderful! Thank you for them. I cannot walk that much anymore; so it is so nice to see the park again. Love the Cardinal's too. On Christmas morning, a Cardinal came to my yard and stayed for about a half hour. So sweet! Happy New Year to you and Hubby. Love always, Aunt Helen
