Thankful Thursday around the house

I'm very thankful for having a nice home to 'hang out' in during this troublesome times. It's never a dull moment!

Even the Sandhill Cranes came by for a visit!

They were in the back on the  golf course and then walked between the houses to the front yard.

And when our electricity went off for close to an hour, was it a coincidence that this vehicle was in the neighborhood. We rarely have this happen so we went into high gear finding candles and getting our dinner ready to cook on the grill.

But it came back on and no one had to eat a cold supper! lol

I've put out a few pretty Christmas throws in the lanai and my pixies are on a shelf in the sewing room with wooden blocks in front.

My girlfriend Lynn O. has written a book, Dream Come True and had it published!

Well done, girlfriend! I'm so proud of you and love my book!

I bought some pretty wintry coasters from Etsy at Prickly Pillowcases HERE and they will come in handy. Big enough for a cup or even a cereal bowl! And so well made! I love them!

Linda from Linda's Life Journal sent me a Christmas card with her 2020 Santa and Mrs. Claus.

How delightful!

And I bought a Llama dishcloth from Swedish dishcloths HERE. I use them all the time and I've never had one especially for Christmas!

Have you treated yourself to anything new this week?
(should I put it on MY wish list? I've been very very good, I promise!)

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays and

I like Thursdays HERE too!

Beautiful Christmas decorations!
I treated myself to a new winter coat, but I don't think you will need to add that to your Wish List!
Have a blessed day!

I love it all but favorites are your visitors and your pixie collection. I bought myself a new pair of yoga mat flip flops and a nice new set of much needed nonstick skillets :)

Me, too! Very happy to have a warm home, to shelter us, all during this awful China/Covid Virus time.

Wondering, have you ever lived, in a "Santa Claus Wintry" place? Where there is cold weather and snow, at this Holiday Time of Year?

Having been born and bred, a the colder climate, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas, elsewhere... As in, a warm climate.

Now I know, that's just me!

"Loads and batches" of people, always spend Holiday Time, without cold or snow. It is just very, very interesting to me..... So, I ask. -smile-

All the years I have lived in this country, I had no idea until reading your blog that there were so many wonderful and interesting birds and other critters in Florida. And I didn't know about the parks and trails you have shared on your blog either. So glad you like the Swedish cloths. I'm a firm believer that when you live alone, even though your friends may give you some presents, it's perfectly OK to get some for yourself. So, yes, I have treated myself to something I can also share with friends.

Your live lawn ornaments are fabulous!
I love you holiday decorations and photos. Anything with bottle brush trees melts my heart, the nostalgia they hold is plentiful.

Like you, Diane, I am so grateful for my lovely house and the ability to snug away in it during these Covid months. You have some lovely Christmas photos. Clever business name 'ubreakifix'. And yes, I did buy something new this week. Besides the non-Christmasy beautiful tiny coffee table in the Duncan Phyfe style (I've been looking for years and just found this one on FB Marketplace for a most reasonable price), I also bought two new coffee mugs with decals of evergreen sprigs on them. We used them for our morning coffee today and enjoyed them and our coffee very much.

Cute coasters and dishtowel. The llama is cute. Glad your electricity came back on quickly. We never realize just how much we depend on it until we don't have it.

Love the Sandhill Cranes - they are such interesting birds! Do they spend the winter in your area? We've seen them in Nebraska in March when they come through on their yearly migration.

Nothing new in my world this week for you to be jealous about! I love seeing Sandhill Cranes and we do usually have a little family of three or four who show up around the neighborhood. I really like the clacking noises they make. I am going to check out a couple of your links. Etsy shops are pretty amazing. I could spend hours looking! Have a good Friday!

How fun to see the cranes so close.

What fun! I love seeing the Sand Hill Cranes when they come to visit. We've been seeing them fly in and out of our pond frequently, and I am hoping they are choosing our pond to nest on this year...time will tell. Love all your cute elves and pretty colorful touches. Love the coasters! Those are really nice. I like that they are big enough for a bowl too! That's handy!! I don't think I've bought anything new this week. Last week I bought those four snowman lunch plates at Dollar General. They are plastic, but I use them for our lunch or sometimes breakfast. Saves on using paper plates, which we were starting to do too often, and these are cute and make me happy. Right now I am concentrating on buying gifts, so I can't buy myself anything else! (Although hubby tells me to buy myself somethings for Christmas and he'll wrap them. LOL. That way they'll be sure to fit! LOL)

So many goodies to treat yourself with, Diane. I love that llama dish cloth, so cute. Your red reindeer pillow is delightful, and your pixies are cute as ever. It's so good that you are in the Christmas spirit. I hope you found enough candles when your electricity went out. Candles come in handy in times like this, and thanks for the reminder, cause I need more! Enjoy the season, Diane.
