I'm very thankful for having a nice home to 'hang out' in during this troublesome times. It's never a dull moment!
Even the Sandhill Cranes came by for a visit!
They were in the back on the golf course and then walked between the houses to the front yard.
But it came back on and no one had to eat a cold supper! lol
My girlfriend Lynn O. has written a book, Dream Come True and had it published!
Well done, girlfriend! I'm so proud of you and love my book!
I bought some pretty wintry coasters from Etsy at Prickly Pillowcases HERE and they will come in handy. Big enough for a cup or even a cereal bowl! And so well made! I love them!
Linda from Linda's Life Journal sent me a Christmas card with her 2020 Santa and Mrs. Claus.
How delightful!
And I bought a Llama dishcloth from Swedish dishcloths HERE. I use them all the time and I've never had one especially for Christmas!
Have you treated yourself to anything new this week?
(should I put it on MY wish list? I've been very very good, I promise!)

Amazon brought over the counter pharmacy bottles and a KONG for the dog, and our FREE Over the counter that we can order each quarter from our insurance came...does that count? love the coasters. I have 3 of Linda's cards now, thisone and the last two years. amazing to have sand hill cranes in your yard
Hello,
It is wonderful to have the Sandhill Cranes walking around your yard. Your Pixies are cute, pretty Christmas display. I like the llama dishcloth and the coasters. I bought a new birdfeeder yesterday, a treat for me and the birds. Take care, have a great day!
A visit from Sandhill Cranes would make my day!
...those sure are some mighty BIG birds!
you are so lucky to be visited by the cranes, they are beautiful!! linda's christmas card is so pretty, what a treasure. i don't think i left my address when she was asking us too, darn, i will have to remember next year!!
i have purchased all of my christmas gifts on-line, too many to list, i will only say my credit card is on fire!!!
How wonderful that the cranes came to visit in your yard. I love your decorations. They really are beautiful. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
Beautiful Christmas decorations!
I treated myself to a new winter coat, but I don't think you will need to add that to your Wish List!
Have a blessed day!
I love it all but favorites are your visitors and your pixie collection. I bought myself a new pair of yoga mat flip flops and a nice new set of much needed nonstick skillets :)
Me, too! Very happy to have a warm home, to shelter us, all during this awful China/Covid Virus time.
Wondering, have you ever lived, in a "Santa Claus Wintry" place? Where there is cold weather and snow, at this Holiday Time of Year?
Having been born and bred, a the colder climate, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas, elsewhere... As in, a warm climate.
Now I know, that's just me!
"Loads and batches" of people, always spend Holiday Time, without cold or snow. It is just very, very interesting to me..... So, I ask. -smile-

All the years I have lived in this country, I had no idea until reading your blog that there were so many wonderful and interesting birds and other critters in Florida. And I didn't know about the parks and trails you have shared on your blog either. So glad you like the Swedish cloths. I'm a firm believer that when you live alone, even though your friends may give you some presents, it's perfectly OK to get some for yourself. So, yes, I have treated myself to something I can also share with friends.
Your live lawn ornaments are fabulous!
I love you holiday decorations and photos. Anything with bottle brush trees melts my heart, the nostalgia they hold is plentiful.
Like you, Diane, I am so grateful for my lovely house and the ability to snug away in it during these Covid months. You have some lovely Christmas photos. Clever business name 'ubreakifix'. And yes, I did buy something new this week. Besides the non-Christmasy beautiful tiny coffee table in the Duncan Phyfe style (I've been looking for years and just found this one on FB Marketplace for a most reasonable price), I also bought two new coffee mugs with decals of evergreen sprigs on them. We used them for our morning coffee today and enjoyed them and our coffee very much.
So cute to see Linda's card in a collage. Those cranes are huge! I had no idea just how big they are.Everything is looking merry and bright and I am glad that the power was back on quickly.
Diane, you spotted me at the local gift shop buying yet another purse. I could not help myself. It is animal print and so cute.
Diane, Your decorations are so nice! I am waiting for Carolyn. She should be here any minute! Have a nice day. It is a good day for a hike. Love, Aunt Helen
Cute coasters and dishtowel. The llama is cute. Glad your electricity came back on quickly. We never realize just how much we depend on it until we don't have it.
Love the Sandhill Cranes - they are such interesting birds! Do they spend the winter in your area? We've seen them in Nebraska in March when they come through on their yearly migration.
Nothing new in my world this week for you to be jealous about! I love seeing Sandhill Cranes and we do usually have a little family of three or four who show up around the neighborhood. I really like the clacking noises they make. I am going to check out a couple of your links. Etsy shops are pretty amazing. I could spend hours looking! Have a good Friday!
Your house looks like a cheerful place to hang out. You might guess I love the pixie display. They are such happy little guys.
How fun to see the cranes so close.
You have some very talented friends. That Christmas card is delightful.
What beautiful post!Great visitors!
What fun! I love seeing the Sand Hill Cranes when they come to visit. We've been seeing them fly in and out of our pond frequently, and I am hoping they are choosing our pond to nest on this year...time will tell. Love all your cute elves and pretty colorful touches. Love the coasters! Those are really nice. I like that they are big enough for a bowl too! That's handy!! I don't think I've bought anything new this week. Last week I bought those four snowman lunch plates at Dollar General. They are plastic, but I use them for our lunch or sometimes breakfast. Saves on using paper plates, which we were starting to do too often, and these are cute and make me happy. Right now I am concentrating on buying gifts, so I can't buy myself anything else! (Although hubby tells me to buy myself somethings for Christmas and he'll wrap them. LOL. That way they'll be sure to fit! LOL)
That llama dishcloth is just adorable. I'm glad you purchased it - it's too darn cute to pass up. ~smile~ Roseanne
Well we've had some squirrels in the garden this week but never Sandhill Cranes walking around! Lovely to see.
All the best Jan
Those sandhill cranes are so neat. I can't imagine such a big bird wandering around the yard!!
I love how your lanai looks, very peaceful and welcoming, can I come read a book there for a few hours?--I'll bring the tea, LOL. Cute pillows. And your elves sure look cute too. Wow, those cranes look HUGE......LIKE OSTRICHES!! HA HA LOL. I haven't seen any of those lately.....I think they all came to your house, ha ha.
Love all your Christmas decorations. Those coasters are really pretty. I did treat myself recently . I bought a set of Pioneer woman cookware. They were a great price during black Friday.
Hello!
I love your pixies!!!!
We call them brownies here.
I have a very special one that came from my mother.
So nice visiting with you here.
Have a cozy evening!
The cranes are cool! I love the llama dish towel.
Hi,
My Sam likes Llama's, he would love that dish towel.
I like all the Christmas you shared with us today.
Love, Carla
How fun to see the sandhill cranes. Love your pixies they are very cute. I had been eyeing a mercury glass Christmas tree and found one at HL 50% off. So it was added to my tree display. Great likes.
A "UBreakIFix" truck! I need one permanently parked in my driveway. Maybe I'll ask Santa..........!!!! :-) ~Andrea xoxo
I bought three new candles today! And I had my hair cut! All treats!
So happy you like the Christmas card! Glad I have your address now!
This was my fourth year to do cards from my paintings.
Merry Christmas!! Christmas is coming!

Oh my, but you have some amazing photos, especially of the sandhill cranes. Your mosaics are beautiful, too! Have a wonderful weekend!
Great Sandhill sighting!
So many goodies to treat yourself with, Diane. I love that llama dish cloth, so cute. Your red reindeer pillow is delightful, and your pixies are cute as ever. It's so good that you are in the Christmas spirit. I hope you found enough candles when your electricity went out. Candles come in handy in times like this, and thanks for the reminder, cause I need more! Enjoy the season, Diane.
~Sheri
I love Swedish dish cloths too! Never saw the llama one for Christmas before. Adorable! Glad you weren't stranded without electricity for too long. Pshew!

you're right, having space and a nice home makes staying in easier.
Diane, oh my those cranes are so close! Are they aggressive? Love all your Christmas touches and especially love that Mrs Santa and Santa card. Mrs Claus looks so loving in that picture!
I think it's pretty cool that the cranes are hanging out in your yard. That doesn't happen here, they just fly overhead with a bunch of noise! Thanks for linking up.
