We love seeing our 'usuals' and trying to get good photos.
We saw the most beautiful Little Blue Heron with such a purple neck!
They can be hard to spot in the marsh!
There were a few Great Blue Herons here and there, too.
Something to see in every direction!
It was a gray day which is unusual for Florida.
But it gave the photos some neat effects.
Oh and I promised you a Stork.
A favorite photo was this White Ibis perched near a Palm Tree.
OK....let's zoom in!
Another beautiful hike at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon.

Hello,
Another beautiful walk. I love seeing your "usuals", beautiful shots of the Little Blue and the GB Herons. The Stork is one of my favorite Florida birds. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend!
Wij hebben ook reigers, maar deze "kleine blauwe" neefje hebben wij niet!
I would love to live in Florida, but not during hurricanes!
Very nice photos, Diane!
Those blue herons are just beautiful. Thanks for sharing. We have one at Grimmwood but he is more gray than blue.
So many times the "regulars" teach us something new about them. It seems I always learn something about something when I"m out...:)jp
Wow! Another beautiful hike and gorgeous nature photos ^_^
~ Happy Weekend to you !

Love the photos and am a teeny bit envious. ^^
I am amazed at the beautiful sights you capture!
Thank you!
Have a cozy Saturday.
The little blue heron is so gorgeous! The Ibis photo is my favorite too, he's framed just perfectly. Have a great weekend Diane!
What a lovely hike! I love that stork...but the Blue Heron, oh my gosh, what a beauty. His/her neck is almost a purplish hue of blue! Great photos!
I've never seen a stork in the wild. Love your photos! :D
...that sure is a BLUE Heron!
The Little Blue Heron is astonished, what a beautiful species. And White Ibis is special.
Those are beautiful bird photos. I like to see the big wading birds -- which aren't here in Michigan in winter!
be well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com

Wonderful photos! Thanks for taking us along!
Beautiful images.
Love the white Ibis! :-)
I love your pics of the Little Blue Heron!
The Blue Heron is just stunning.
It must be amazing to live where you can find such amazing big birds!
What a beautiful series of bird photos you captured on your outing. The blue heron is gorgeous and my favorite. We have a few around here that I've seen. Have a great week and stay safe.
That Blue Heron is really pretty. I love the picture of the water with the ripples in it.
Always a pleasure seeing your photos. Even your gray days look way better than what it looks like here right now.
Excellent shots of the heron!! He's a beauty.
Wonderful photos of the Little Blue heron. We've had one here at our pond a few times that I've seen. They aren't as frequent of visitors as the Great Blue Heron. We had a stork one time that I know of...such a non-handsome creature. LOL. (nice way to say ugly). LOL. Your pictures are always wonderful. So glad you can get out most days. Today was really windy!! But the sun was shining! That's always a good thing when it is so cold!
Great pics! Love the herons and the stork!
What beautiful pictures of the herons.
We call the heron in the first three photos a purple heron.
The stork and the ibis are also very beautiful.
Greetings Irma
My favorite image today is your ibis. Love how you framed it with nature!
Thanks for joining us at IRBB this week. Happy birding!
Loved all the pictures and my favorite is the zoom in of the white ibis, great picture!! I wanted to hike today but it was bitterly WINDY which made it feel even COLDER. Maybe tomorrow. Stop by when you can and meet my NEW DOLL, OK? Hugs!
Little Blue Heron is a very rare vagrant in southern Ontario, but with climate change maybe they will join the Cattle Egrets with ever increasing frequency. I will keep my eyes peeled in the spring.
Fue un precioso paseo con muy lindas aves. Besos.
That little blue is a stunner -- and so, too, that ibis! How wonderful you get to see these birds somewhat regularly!
Your blue heron is beautiful and how fun to see a stork! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!
Stunning photos! I've never seen a stork in person. Great photo! You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
A great selection here, and it is a beautiful little Blue Heron :)
Hope your weekend has been good, have a happy new week.
All the best Jan
Little Blue Heron is a beautiul bird in it´s simle coloration :) And so is the white Ibis. I usually think your Stork is, well, ugly, but for some reason your shots shows an other side of it. Loosk much better :)
Take care!
I absolutely loved the picture with the gray Spanish moss hanging above the water. It was so unusual. Almost creepy.
